Kara was frantically speeding around her small living room making sure everything looked perfect. She had finally convinced Lena Luthor, yes THAT Lena Luthor, to come over for game night, and wanted everything to go well. Lena had already been introduced to all Karas other friends and gotten along well with them, but Kara had still been unexplainably nervous. Just as Kara was straightening the bowls of snacks on the table for the hundredth time in the last minute, the super heard the elevator ding and open on her floor.

"Hey Kara, I bought that werewolf card game you wanted to try." It was Alex. Kara speeds over to the door and opens to find her sister already at the door.

"Thanks Alex. Everything looks ok right? It's clean enough?" The redhead looks around the room, she had expected her little sister to be nervous about Lena coming over tonight, but not this nervous. The whole apartment was practically spotless.

"It looks great Kara, where were these cleaning skills back when we lived together?" Alex jokes with Kara as a knock on the door sounds through the apartment. The blonde goes over to open the door again as Alex takes her normal spot on the couch. Did Kara even count to make sure there would be an open seat for Lena?

"Hello Kara, we have brought the traditional game night food of carbohydrates." Brainy announces, holding boxes in front of him. Nia was next to him, holding her own bag.

"What he means is, we picked up the pizza and potstickers." Kara laughs a bit as she moves to let the pair in. As they both go sit down, she decides to count all the spots. There was enough for Lena. Crisis averted.

Over the next ten minutes J'ohn, James, Kelly and Winn show up as well. The only person left was Lena. The CEO had warned Kara that she may be a little late, but she would be sure to turn up eventually. The rest decide to start the game night of by playing some Jenga. They were in the middle of their third round when she finally showed up, holding two bottles of a very expensive looking wine.

"Sorry I'm late, but I come with a peace offering." Alex quickly takes the offering, telling the woman to sit down while she poured everyone who wanted one a glass. Lena takes a seat next to Kara, as she was much closer with the youngest Danvers than anyone else. Alex comes back with four glasses, giving one to Lena, Brainy, Nia, and then keeping the last for herself.

"If you keep bringing amazing drinks like this, you're welcome to all of our game nights from now on." Nia speaks up, which startles Winn and causes him to tip over the precarious tower.

"Dangit" He mutters, leaning back in his spot and angrily taking a bite of his pizza.

"How about we do never have I ever next? That way we can all keep eating, and it allows to get to know Lena better." J'ohn suggests as he takes a slice of pizza from one of the boxes. Everyone nods along with the idea. They all take some of the food and put it on their plates as they get started. It was decided among the group that James would go first and then it would continue around the circle.

"Never have I ever... worn glasses with fake lenses." Kara instantly groans as he says the question, taking a drink. Everyone else laughs. Everyone takes a turn asking a question, earning them some very interesting results. The classic question of 'Never have I ever had a crush on someone in this room.' had been asked, and everyone took a drink. Including Lena.

"Never have I ever gotten a tattoo." Surprisingly enough, was the question that made the Luthor freeze up a bit, she eventually took a sip of her wine.

"Ooo, the famous CEO has a tattoo? How scandalous! Can we see?" Winn asks excitedly, assuming it would be something science related. Lena took a deep breath, telling herself that these people were her friends now, she could trust them. She stands up, shrugging off her suit jacket and lifting the white undershirt up a bit, revealing a semicolon inked into her skin. Nia inhales sharply when she sees it, as does Kelly.

"Lena" Nia says softly as Kara looks confused at their sad faces.

"Why do you guys look all sad?" She questions. Nobody else appears to know the meaning behind the tattoo either. Kelly looks at Lena for permission and she nods, tucking her shirt back in and putting her jacket back on. She hadn't been planning on this happening tonight.

"Kara, you're a writer, you know what a semicolon means right?" Kelly questions softly. Everyone else seems to have caught on that this was a sensitive subject and continue to eat quietly.

"It separates two different parts of a sentence that are still related." Kara says with a nod, still confused. Lena sighs lightly and takes a big gulp of her wine before saving Kelly from this conversation.

" A semicolon is used when an author could have ended a sentence but chose not to." Kara nods at Lenas explanation, but she continues. "I'm the author, the sentence... is life." The blonde's eyes widen, her mouth opens but nothing comes out for a moment.

"You... You tried to." The Luthor nods.

"I tried; it didn't work obviously." She says gesturing to the fact that she was still here. "Never have I ever... gotten less than an A on a test." The woman continues the game, clearly not wanting to continue the conversation at hand.

Once everyone else left however, the conversation did continue...

There was only a little bit of the wine left, and the ladies decided to finish it. Alex and Kelly had to leave to pick up Esme from the babysitter, but Kara, Lena, and Nia stayed to finish the bottle.

"I still can't believe you didn't know the meaning behind a semicolon Kara." Nia was the one who brought the topic back up.

"Technically, she did have it right, just not the context." Lena defends her friend. She had been a bit tipsy by now, and the fact that it was just Kara, Nia and herself made her more comfortable with where the conversation was going once again.

"How did you and Kelly figure it out?" Kara questions Nia with a sip from her glass.

"You do remember that Kelly's a therapist, right?" Nia starts with a laugh. "I just read about them in the news, it was a big thing for suicide awareness" Lena had started fidgeting with her hands a bit, twirling the stem of the wine glass in her hands.

"I only ever got caught because of the cameras in the mansion." Nia and Kara look up in confusion but figured this was something Lena wanted to get off her chest, so they stay quiet as she continues. "I took a bunch of Tylenol pills from the nanny's bathroom, Mother and Father always caught track of ours. Then I went to bed, and when I woke up, I was in a hospital room. My father had died a few months before, and I couldn't stand living alone with Mother alone anymore after Lex left for college. Everything always had to be perfect. If it wasn't perfect, you were a failure. Lex was the only one there with me, Lillian was too worried about making sure nothing got out to the press to make sure that her daughter was ok. When she did eventually come check in on me it was to yell at me."

The other women both place a hand on one of Lena's shoulders, letting them know they were there for her.

"After a few years I got the tattoo, in secret of course. Mother never found out about it luckily." Lena finishes by letting out a deep breath she wasn't even aware she had been holding.

"I hope you know that I'm glad you're still with us Lena. We all are. Your biological family may not be... the best in the world." The CEO laughs a bit at that, making Kara smile as she continues her speech. "But now you have us. You're a part of this found family now whether you like it or not." Nia gives a nod

"Now that you've been to a game night, you're not allowed to leave us." Lena smiles as both the women bring her into a group hug.
