Kara walks into the tattoo parlor and everyone immediately looks over at her. Apparently, a blonde-haired blue-eyed woman wearing a light blue layered sweater isn't their usual demographic.

"Hello, how may I help you?"

Her eyes widen as she notices the woman behind the counter. Those green eyes are mesmerizing. "Uh, Kara Danvers, from CatCo magazine." Kara introduces, holding out her hand. "I'm here to interview the owner for a piece about upcoming businesses in National City?"

A small grin appears on the woman's face as she shakes Kara's hand, "Of course. That would be me, Ms. Danvers, you can follow me."

She quickly follows behind the raven-haired woman to, what Kara assumes is, her office.

"Take a seat." The woman gestures to the seat cross from her.

Kara sits down on the cool leather chair and looks down at her notes. "So, Miss... Luthor, you started this business only two months ago, yet it has gained popularity very quickly. Why do you think that might be?"

She looks up to find the woman, Lena, sitting almost regally in her chair. "Frankly, I think it's related to my 'family'." Lena starts, putting air quotations around the word family. "I never spoke with them much after moving out, but the name Luthor has certainly called some extra attention to the place."

So that's where Kara recognized the name from. Her brother must be Lex Luthor

Having noticed the familiar look of recognition on the blonde's face, Lena speaks up again. "Some people think I still communicate with them, considering I used their money to get this place started before leaving, but I've never agreed with any of their viewpoints. Though, if you still feel the need to leave, I won't use it against you."

Kara looks confused before her eyes widen a bit, "Oh, no. I just thought I recognized the name before coming in, and you confirmed it. I can still do the interview. Assuming you still want to that is." She rambles out. She may not be aware of why just yet, but Kara trusts this woman.

"Ok then, Ms. Danvers. What's your next question?"

____

"Kara, we can have someone at the DEO give you the tattoo, I really don't think we should trust some stranger with your secret like this, let alone a Luthor." Alex mutters as they walk down the street toward the tattoo parlor.

Alex and Kara had made a bet during one of their movie nights about which love interest would get with the main character in the end. Whoever lost had to get a tattoo of the others choice. And Kara lost. Beca Mitchell made a stupid choice, anyway.

"I trust her Alex. Remember when I did that interview? She seemed really genuine about making herself different from her family. Besides, it's not like she'll realize that we put kryptonite on the edge of our tattoo gun."

____

Lena looks up at them when the bell rings, "Hello again Kara Danvers," She greets before noticing Alex standing next to her. "and, who are you exactly?"

Alex gets a look of realization on her face. She's jealous. "I'm Alex Danvers." She says simply, knowing the look of jealousy will only amplify, and amplify it does. Alex understands now why Kara insisted on coming here. They're both being gay and oblivious.

"She's my sister." Kara points out, instantly ruining Alex's fun as the jealous look disappears.

"Oh, I didn't realize you have a sister. It's lovely to meet you." Lena greets Alex with a firm handshake. The only real evidence of her family as far as Alex can tell so far. "What brings you two in today?"

After explaining the situation to Lena, she leads them both back to one of the private rooms, agreeing to do the tattoo herself as the other artists were busy at the moment anyway.

Ales sits in one of the spare chairs to the side, "We need you to use this tattoo gun for her, Kara... has sensitive skin." She eventually decides on a lie as she takes out the tattoo gun that has a special kryptonite needle.

Lena nods, taking the gun before rolling over to the different colors. Alex had already told her what kind of tattoo to give her. "Sensitive skin, huh? That's why she needs a kryptonite needle?"

Both Kara and Alex's eyes widen.

"Don't worry, I may be a Luthor, but I won't tell anyone." She adds, looking a bit hurt, but mostly understanding, as she rolls over to the tattoo chair Kara was sat on.

Kara looks down a bit, feeling bad that she found out like this. "Sorry, I don't tell many people."

Lena shakes her head a bit. "It's fine, I get it."

"You're not your family Lena. I trust you." The blonde states as blue eyes look into green. "I came to you to do this tattoo for a reason."

The youngest Luthor gives a small nod before starting up the tattoo gun. She gives Kara one starting line with it before pausing, "How was that?"

Kara had tensed up a bit, but it wasn't as bad as she had expected. "Not bad, you can keep going."

Lena adjusts her arm a bit, so it was resting more comfortably before she continues. "Good girl." She comments quietly before starting the machine again, so quietly in fact that Kara isn't even sure she had heard her properly, even with her super hearing. Despite this, there's a red tint to her cheeks throughout the duration of the appointment.

About an hour and a half later, Kara is allowed to open her eyes and looks down. "Alex, are you kidding?" She asks with a laugh as she holds up her wrist to reveal the house of El symbol. A simple black design. "And you were worried about Lena being suspicious of the green needle?"
