"Kara, time to wake up." Normally Kara would groan at having to wake up for school, but not today. She had a plan to finally be able to talk to her crush. Kara sits up in her bed without a hint of protest, shocking Eliza. "Someone's eager to get to school today."

"I'm finally going to talk with Mr. Spheer about getting a tutor for French." She was technically telling the truth, Kara just didn't the mention the part about hoping for a certain person.

"That's great honey, maybe you'll be able to understand it better with someone helping you." Kara nods in response, getting ready once Eliza went downstairs to make breakfast. After getting ready, including a light layer of makeup, Kara went downstairs to eat breakfast with her mom and sister. Alex had teased her about deciding to wear some makeup to school today, claiming she must be trying to impress a boy in her class. Little did she know...

Eliza dropped both the girls off at their school before going to work. Alex immediately went over to talk to her friends, while Kara decided to go to her first class of the day early. She noticed Lena sitting in her usual seat as well. Kara hadn't seen the young woman talking to many people, not that she constantly stared at her or anything, she wasn't a creep. She wondered if she always arrived at her classes early and decided to check the theory later in the day as well.

The bell interrupted her thinking as the other students flooded in the room to start the history class.

It was the last class of the morning before the students got a break for lunch, and Kara was very happy. Not just because the promise of food was only forty-five minutes away, though that did make her happy, Kara was excited because this was her French period.

"Ms. Danvers, could you come over here please?" Mr. Spheer asked once she walked in. Kara had noted that Lena was already sitting at her desk once again as she walked over to him. "You seem like you've been struggling in my class, is there any particular reason why?"

"I understand the words on their own, it's putting them together into sentences that I struggle with." Mr. Spheer nods, understanding her problem. He looks over to Lena, getting Kara excited that her plan may be working.

"Ms. Luthor, can you come over here as well?" The raven-haired woman looks over, as if to confirm he had been talking to her, and he nods his head to motion her over. "Kara, would you be ok with Lena tutoring you? She's my best student and I think she could really help you." The blonde immediately nods her approval.

"Yes sir, that would be fine." Kara tries to appear calm, but inside she's giddily dancing in celebration. Mr. Spheer nods as Lena arrives at the desk, making Kara blush a little at the close proximity. This is the closest she had ever been to the youngest Luthor.

"Lena, would you be willing to tutor Kara here? She's been having some trouble understanding how to string sentences together and you would be the best person for the job." She thinks for a moment before nodding.

"I can do that; do you have free time after school?" Kara smiles. Partially because she said yes, and partially because her voice was really pretty. She nods silently. "Perfect, we can meet then and discuss what times and days will work best."

Kara feels a bit bold and decides to speak up. "I'm free during lunch as well. If that works for you, I mean." She quickly rambles out the last sentence after a moment of silence, not wanting to pressure Lena to talk with her.

Lena lets out a small smile. "That works too, the auditorium would probably be best so it's not too loud." The bell rings again once Kara nods in approval, the rest of the students rushing into the classroom. As the class slowly passed, Kara makes sure to take extensive notes to impress Lena.
