-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only one thought filters through your brain right now: find Sam and get the hell out of here. Find Sam and get the hell out of here. You repeat that phrase over and over in your head, hoping that it will come true. You've suffered from so much emotional and mental trauma because of Dean, you'd hate to suffer physically as well.

The red lights flash in the Bunker halls, shining into the room you're in. Dean is a demon, and he is out for blood. He wants both you and Sam dead to keep you guys from turning him back into a human. He will kill anything that gets in his way of his goal, so you have to be really quiet so he doesn't find you.

Being a demon has given him all sorts of power that includes a heightened sense of sight, sound, and feeling. Right now, he can hear your heartbeat patter in your chest, but he can't see you. The Bunker is kind of known for having an echo wherever you are, so this benefits you because your heartbeat is bouncing off the walls so Dean doesn't know exactly where you are.

"I can hear your heart beating, Y/N... I can smell your fear," Dean taunts.

You place a hand over your mouth to keep your shallow breaths from being heard. Tears stream down your cheeks, but you don't dare make a move. You're crouched behind a small cabinet as Dean searches the room for you.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," he chuckles darkly.

His footsteps are like stomps as he gets closer to your hiding place. You literally can't go anywhere because if you try to leave, he'll spot you and if you stay, he'll spot you. You look at the ceiling and send a quick prayer for your survival. Whoever is listening grants you an opportunity to leave. There is a loud noise coming from the hallway that distracts Dean. He snaps his head to the area and leaves in a rush in hopes it's either you or Sam.

You peer around the corner and sigh very quietly knowing you're alone now. With as little noise as possible, you get up and leave the room, heading in the opposite direction as Dean. The lights are much more blinding in the hallway than they are inside the room. You never really noticed how confusing the Bunker can be when you're trying to fight for your life. The Bunker hallways are like a maze when you're rushing through them, but you have to keep moving if you don't want Dean to catch you.

If he was the real Dean, you knew he wouldn't even dare hurt you. It's the fucking Mark. Ever since he took it on, he's been a completely different person. You hate that you look at him and see a monster instead of your loving friend. Gone are the days where he used to tuck you in at night or cuddle with you when you're feeling down. The days are now filled with terror, nightmares, and wishing that you were anywhere but here. Both Dean and Sam are the loves of your life, but you can't seem to look at Dean the same... not after this.

You wish you could have done more for him.

"I'm done playing games! I'm going to rip your fucking head off!" Dean yells loudly and angrily.

You're stuck in the middle of the hallway when you hear his booming voice. Whenever the red lights come on inside the Bunker, all the doors lock. If a door is opened when it comes on, then it'll stay open until someone closes it. If a door is closed, then it automatically locks. You have no hiding space, nowhere to run, and you're terrified for your life.

You have to get to Sam before Dean gets to you. Dean knows that you're the only person who can pull him back to his human side, so if he gets rid of you, then he has nothing to worry about. He needs to kill you first. If he kills Sam first and you cure him, then he will be so ridden with guilt as he sees the heartbreak in your eyes.

You run into a connecting hallway and lean against the wall to catch your breath. You have to calm your heart if you're going to get out of this alive. You peer around the corner to see if Dean is coming when you feel someone behind you. The person wraps one arm around your waist while the other hand goes around your mouth.

You scream and struggle to get away from them, but when you hear his soothing voice, you visibly relax against him.

"Shh, it's just me. Don't panic. It's okay," Sam whispers. He removes his hand knowing you won't make a sound. "Come on, follow me."

You turn to escape but stop short when you see Dean blocking your path. His eyes flash black as a smirk slowly makes its way onto his face.

"Please don't do this, Dean," you cry. "You're not this person."

"You're right. I need to be rid of you two if I'm going to start truly living. You're a burden. You're trash. You're nothing, and I'm going to make sure you know that."

He takes one step toward you, and you shrink back behind Sam as if he can protect you. Castiel appears behind the demon and wraps his arms around him, flashing his eyes bright blue. Castiel can hold his own, giving you time to really think about all of this. Castiel disappears with Dean and brings him back to the dungeon while you and Sam are left behind.

A heartbreaking squeak leaves your mouth as you slide down the wall and to the floor. Tears stream down your eyes at the emotional and mental weight of what's been happening. Sam turns to you and gets down to your level to comfort you.

"It's okay, he's going to get better. He's going to be okay."

"No," you sob. "I don't want to see him. I don't think I'll ever be able to look him in the eyes. I can't be around him."

"Okay, that's fine. You don't have to see him."

"You don't understand," you cry and look at him. "I don't think I'll be able to see him ever again. He's hurt me too much."

"That wasn't him, Y/N, and you know it."

"It doesn't matter, Sam. I've been through enough trauma already. I didn't need this happening," you cry.

You fall into his arms and sob. Sam doesn't want you to leave because of Dean, but he also doesn't want to keep you here if you truly hate being here. He doesn't know what to do, and neither do you.
