There are three things you absolutely loved: American Horror Story, a James Patterson book, and when your husband was home from filming. Since the new season of Supernatural wasn't going to start for a few more months, Jensen was allowed to come back home where you were waiting for him. While he was filming, you had to stay home for three reasons: your job, your two adorable dogs, and to help Gen with her kids. You and Jensen didn't have kids of your own, even though you brought up the subject many times.
While he was gone, if you weren't babysitting the Padalecki kids, you were watching AHS and/or reading your favorite author. Something you liked to do often was watch AHS and read your book. There was something about having your favorite TV show play on as background noise while you read James' gory murder mystery books.
On the days that Jensen was home, you would be too preoccupied to read or watch television. Thankfully, he was hanging with Jared and Gen at their place, giving you some time to be on your own. Oscar was lying by your feet, snoring a bit, but you weren't paying attention to him. All your focus was on this book and how every page you read gripped your emotions.
You were so invested in this book, you didn't hear the door open and close, and your husband's footsteps coming closer to you. Jensen walked into the room and was about to talk to you when he saw you with your nose in your book. Thinking it was best not to disturb you, he walked around and sat next to you, grabbing the remote that was sitting right next to your leg.
Oscar heard the door open and close, and when he saw his dad, he jumped up and wagged his tail excitedly.
"Hey, Oscar," Jensen smiled and scratched behind his ears. Flipping through the channels, Jensen chose a tv show he liked and put it on. He didn't really like AHS even though he watched some episodes with you. Right when the channel was changed, you set your book on your lap and looked at your husband.
"What are you doing?"
"What do you mean?" he asked, looking at you.
"I was watching that."
"You were reading and by the looks of it, you weren't going to stop anytime soon."
Grabbing your bookmark, you placed it in your book before placing it on the table next to you.
"Okay, I'm not anymore. Change it back," you tried to reach for the remote but Jensen was quick to snatch it away.
"No, you had your turn. It's mine," he grinned. You knew from one look that he wasn't being serious. Well, if he wanted to play, then you were going to play.
"Jensen Ross Ackles, give me the remote," you reached for it again, but Jensen moved it just out of reach.
"No," he smirked.
"That's it," you muttered and got on your knees before pouncing on your husband. His reflexes were quick and despite you having the upper hand, you still couldn't reach the damn remote.
"You weren't even watching the TV!" He exclaimed, trying to get you off him.
"Jensen! Give me the remote!" you yelled back, but Jensen has had enough. He dropped the remote on the ground and quickly flipped you over so you were pinned underneath him. His fingers connected with your sides and you squealed out in laughter, trying to push him off.
"Oscar! Help! I'm being attacked!" you yelled for your dog but he just sat and watched from a safe distance.
"No one can help you now," Jensen laughed and continued his assault on you.
"Stop! Okay! I give! Mercy!" you yelled and he immediately ceased his actions. He, however, didn't move from you.
"How about instead of watching that terrible show, we watch one of the movies we recorded?" Jensen laughed, and you stared at him, pretending to think about it.
"Fine but get off me. You're so heavy!" Jensen laughed at this but got off you, snatching the remote from the ground.
"Why don't you lay on me?" Jensen asked, getting comfortable on the couch.
"I like that idea," you smiled and cuddled up next to your husband as he picked a movie. You didn't care what kind of movie it was, as long as you got to watch it with him.
