-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Living with the Winchesters was a great life and you couldn't have asked for a better one. Yeah, yours is constantly in danger and most nights you come home covered in blood but you still wouldn't trade it. The best thing about the Winchesters was Jack Kline and how they felt obligated to take care of him after his mom died. At first, you thought he was a precious man that was pure and innocent.

While he is still those things, you knew he was becoming more like a hunter and less of a Nephilim. He used his powers for good and that is what you liked about him. You started forming a crush on him early on but decided not to do anything about it because he didn't know of human feelings yet and you didn't want to confuse him. Sam and Dean, at first, didn't like that you had a crush on the half-angel but Sam soon warmed up to it. He knew the kind of person you were and the kind of person he hoped Jack was and approved of it. Dean, was still not on board since Jack was technically a kid.

Nonetheless, you helped him out whenever you could. Sam had found a case involving what he thinks is a wraith and you wanted Jack to come along. You wanted him to be more experienced with different kinds of monsters. You just knew Dean would throw a tantrum about Jack coming along but you wouldn't back down from this.

You walked out of your room and down the hall, trying to find Jack. You passed by an unoccupied room with its door open and saw Jack inside, standing in the middle of the room.

"Jack?" You asked, pausing and walking into the room.

"Oh, hi Y/N." Jack smiled.

"What are you doing?" You looked around the empty room.

"Dean said if I am to stay here, I should have my own room. I picked this one. Just trying to understand what I would have in here." You bit back a smile because he was so cute and innocent.

"Well, you can have a bed and a dresser so you can put your clothes in it. And other things you like. I can help you if you want." You suggested and he smiled and nodded.

"I would like that." He smiled.

"Okay, well, Dean and Sam are getting ready for a case involving a Wraith and I want you to come."

"What's a wraith?" He asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion and you thought of Cas who still does that.

"It's a monster that can disguise itself as a human and they feed on human brain fluid. It's gross and they do it with a stick thing that comes out of their wrist." You shuddered at the thought.

"How do they eat brain fluid?" Jack asked, curious about everything. You were about to show him on your own body but you decided to do it on his. You walked over to him and when you got less than a foot from him, you reached up and pressed your finger to the back of his right ear.

"Right there. It's sensitive and easy to get to the brain." You whispered, looking up into his eyes. You hated that even with Jack around, you were still the shortest of everyone. You weren't that much shorter than Jack but still. He nodded but didn't say a word, just kept staring into your eyes.

You could tell by his look, he didn't know what this moment could lead to but you weren't about to show him. You didn't want him fleeing because you embarrassed him. You didn't know how he felt since he wasn't connected to his human side as much as you were. The moment didn't last very long because Dean's voice was booming down the hallway.
