I was sitting in the Great Hall with Shadow in my lap when Harry, Hermione, and the Weasley children crowded around me.
"Uh...hello?" I said awkwardly when a tower of cupcakes was placed on the table in front of me by Harry.

"Happy Birthday Violet!" They all said in unison and I smiled
"You guys are so sweet, thank you." I laughed hugging them and a few other people who had come up to say happy birthday. Luckily my birthday landed on a Saturday so I'd planned to spend the day studying but it seems that everyone else had other ideas as Hermione and Ginny dragged me back to my dorm.

"Put this on and meet us downstairs please." Hermione smiled handing me a bag and I nodded taking everything out of the bag and setting it on my bed.

Once I felt presentable enough I picked up shadow and went down to the common room.
"I think she's coming." I heard Lee whisper
"Everyone hide!" Draco whispered
I probably wouldn't have heard either of them had it not been for my enhanced hearing so I played along. I walked down the steps looking around to see the common room was cover in various shades of purple and a few hints of yellow since it was my favorite color
