45. Yule Ball Shenanigans

"Remind me again why we're up at 4am?" I mumbled drinking the coffee Fred brought me when he woke me up.

"I wanted to spend time with you before you spent the whole day getting ready for the ball. And due to the schedule Draco and I figured out, we have about 3 and a half hours before Skeeter wakes up." He shrugged with a smirk leading me somewhere

"Where are we going?" I mumbled with a smile on my face

"It's a surprise." He laughed as he pulled me to the courtyard where his broom was laying

"Where flying somewhere?" I asked and he nodded mounting his broom before holding his hand out to me

"Hold on tight, I don't care that you can fly." He joked sternly as he handed me his backpack

"Hold please?" He asked and I put my arms through the straps before wrapping my arms securely around his waist

He flew us up to the roof of the castle where a blanket was already set up and he carefully helped me off the broom before he got off himself.

"I thought we could watch the sunrise." He smiled taking his backpack from me and pulling out snacks

"Aww Freddie." I smiled

"Well don't sound so surprised love, I've been known to have my romantic moments." He joked and I nodded

"Oh yeah I remember, like the time you made me breakfast at the burrow but you didn't want to wake me up so you are my breakfast yourself." I laughed and he shook his head

"That doesn't count, you had come to the burrow from saving the world. You needed your sleep." He defended and I nodded

"You're not wrong. I-" I was cut off by my phone ringing

"You should answer that, it could be important." He mumbled and I shook my head

"I'll call whoever it is back later. It's my Avengers ringtone." I mumbled leaning my head on his shoulder as I put my phone on silent

My eyes shot open as I looked around to see Fred and I had fallen asleep on the roof

"Oh shoot. Freddie get up love. It's 11." I whispered shaking him awake as I packed the unopened snacks back into his bag and he groaned

"Can't we 'ust stay 'ere." He mumbled his words sounding slurred as he buried his face in my sweater

"You have 25 missed calls from your brothers." I informed looking at his phone screen as it lit up

"'s fine." He mumbled practically laying on top of my as I answered my phone

"Violet! Oh thank god! Have you seen Fred?! George is freaking out!" Ginny yelled into the phone

"He's with me, what's wrong with George?" I asked worried and at the mention of his twin's name Fred immediately at up as I put the phone on speaker

"I don't know, Lee says he's been like this since he woke up and we need Fred. I'm talking to Violet right now. No... yes, he's with her." Ginny said and I could faintly hear Ron and Lee yelling in the background as I motioned for Fred to finish packing up.

"We're on our way. Just um, tell him we'll coming." Fred explained as he started to panic as well.

Once we had the most important stuff like our wands and our phones I grabbed Fred's hand and teleported us to the Gryffindor common room and we ran straight to his dorm where everyone was panicking and George was sitting on the floor rocking back and forth
