The next morning I woke up in my dorm in between Fred and Harry. I scrambled out of there grasps as Ginny bursts through the door
"Violet, you need to see this." She said grabbing my hand and leading me downstairs where the knee was playing on the TV
"11 Wakandans were among those killed during a confrontation... between the Avengers and a group of mercenaries... in Lagos, Nigeria last month. The traditionally reclusive Wakandans were on an outreach mission... in Lagos, when the attack occurred." A female news anchor reported as a clip of a burning building was shown and I gasped
"Oh no..." I said just above a whisper with my hand to my mouth
"Our people's blood is spilled on foreign soil... not only because of the actions of criminals... but by the indifference of those pledged to stop them. Victory at the expense of the innocent... is no victory at all." A clip of my father's press conference played and I couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt. No one told me any of this.
"The Wakandan king went on to-." The news anchor continued before the tv was turned off
"No, what are you doing?" I asked turning to look at Hermione. The girl looked at me with an expression full of concern as she held the remote in her hand.
"Violet, you shouldn't-"
"Hermione, they kept me in the dark for three days! I have to know what happened! If you don't turn it back on I'll just google it." I explained cutting her off and she sighed turning the TV back on.
"They have to be stopped! What legal authority does an enhanced individual like Wanda Maximoff have... to operate in Nigeria? Who's to say they won't start taking drastic measures that harms us to keep them on top? What about the other enhanced girl? Violet? She's from Wakanda. She's literally their princess, who's to say she won't retaliate and kill more people? How do we know what to expect from them? How do we stop these...these monsters? The Avengers are dangerous!-" a male News anchor said before I shot a bolt of light from my palm straight through the TV in a moment of anger.
"VIOLET!" Ginny gasped and I turned to look at her immediately calming down at the terrified look of her and Luna's faces.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." I mumbled with a sigh
"Aguamenti." Hermione cast at the TV and I turned back to see the smoke coming from it.
"I'm just gonna go pack my stuff up for the train." I mumbled before rushing upstairs, where Fred and Harry were still sleeping. I made no moves to wake them up as I moved around the room.

I was leaning against the back wall as everyone was gathered in the assembly room for Dumbledore's speech. A somber mood flowed through the room like water, due to the events of last night. What should have been a joyous last day, ruined by Voldemort and his followers.
"Today we acknowledge a really terrible loss. Cedric Diggory was as you all know, exceptionally hard working, intricately fair minded. And most importantly a fierce fierce friend. I think therefore you have the right to know exactly how he died. You see, Cedric Diggory was murdered by Lord Voldemort. The ministry of magic does not wish me to tell you this. But not to do so I think would be an insult to his memory. Now the pain we all feel at this dreadful loss reminds me, reminds us that while we may come from different places and speak in different tongues, our hearts beat as one. In light of recent events the bonds of friends we made this year will be more important than ever. Remember that and Cedric Diggory will not have died in vain, you remember that. And we'll celebrate a boy who was kind and honest and brave and true right to the very end." He spoke in a solemn tone
