36. Fall of Ultron

"I'm gonna say this once." Steve said as we entered the lab.

"How bout nonce." Tony replied looking up

"Shut it down!" Steve demanded

"Nope, not gonna happen." Tony challenged

"You don't know what you're doing." Steve explained

"And you do? She's not in your head?" Bruce asked looking up from what he was doing glaring at Wanda

"I know you're angry-"

"Oh we're way past that, I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade." Bruce said surprisingly calm for how angry his words were

"Banner after everything that-" I walked away from the conversation to go over to were Clint was sitting

"Hey, can you access Strucker's files on this?" I asked quietly and he looked up at me confused

"Everything we had on Strucker is gone remember-"

"Not our files on him, I want his files. I need to see something." I explained and he moved over and I started typing and searching for what I wanted

"What are you looking for?"

"The files on the twins. I need to know where they came from."

"Sokovia, parents died in a blast. Didn't you hear that story?" He asked looking at the screen as I pulled up the news articles of the bombings

"No, she's from Sokovia. He's from Britain." I said looking at the original article and the edited article side by side.

"We'll I'll be damned. How's you figure that-" he stopped and turned to the radio as it was beeping and I stepped back as he picked up the headphones. I walked to the room where we'd left the files and grabbed the one we're I saw my mother's name flipping through it when I suddenly heard yelling and fighting upstairs.

"What the hell is goin- oh my god!" I gasped noticed the robot they were arguing about was very much alive.

I ran over to stand at Clint's side as I took in the scene before me.

"That was odd...thank you." The bot said turning to Thor.

"Thor. You helped create this?" Steve asked

"I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life, and at its centre is that." He explained pointing to the gem in his the bot's forehead

"What? The gem?" Bruce asked confused

"It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities." Thor explained as he turned towards the group

"Then why would you-"

"Because Stark is right." Thor defended as he cut off Steve's question

"Oh, it's definitely the end times." Bruce muttered looking around at all of us

"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron." Thor added and I bit my lip to stop the sarcastic comment from coming out of my mouth

"Not alone." The bot said

"Why does your Vision sound like Jarvis?" Steve questioned

"We reconfigured Jarvis's matrix...to create something new." Tony said seemingly surprised as Vision came towards him.

"I think I've had my fill of new." Steve muttered apprehensively

"You think I'm a child of Ultron." Vision stated more than he asked
