75. Into Battle

A/N: I had a friend insist that I read the chapter from deathly hallows as I wrote the battle of Hogwarts parts so be ready for that because this is gonna be like 25% movie moments 25% cannon moments and 50% things I added😂

"I knew you'd come! I knew it, Harry!" Neville said in a roar of delight as he hugged Harry.

"Neville? What happ-How-?" Draco gasped hugging the battered looking boy who let out more sounds of delight before hugging Ron and Hermione, then his eyes landed on me.

"Violet?" He gasped shocked and confused

"Hey Nev." I smiled hugging him

"I knew you guys would come! I kept telling Seamus." Neville smiled looking around at Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Draco.

"Neville what happened to you?" I asked worried as the longer I looked at him, the worse he appeared. One of his eyes was swollen yellow and purple, there were various gashes and cuts on his face, his clothes torn and dirty, and his hair long and disheveled.

"What this? This is nothing, Seamus is worse." He said dismissively before turning to where Aberforth stood

"Hey, Ab. There might be a couple more people on the way." And Aberforth's eyes widened at this information

"Couple more? What d'you mean, a couple more, Longbottom? There's a curfew and a Caterwauling Charm on the whole village!" He pointed out looking at Neville like he'd gone mad.

"I know, that's why they'll be Apparating directly into the bar, just send them down the passage when they get here, will you? Thanks a lot." Neville stated more than asked before turning to us

"Well? Ready?" He asked and we all nodded following him into the tunnel.

"I don't remember this being on the
Marauder's Map." Ron muttered confused

"That's because it never existed till now. The seven secret passages were sealed off before the start of the year. There's no chance of getting through any of them now, not with curses over the entrances and Death Eaters and dementors waiting at the exits. This is the only way in or out now." Neville explained as he walked backwards with a smile on his face.

"Never mind that stuff . . . Is it true? Did you break into Gringotts? Did you escape on a dragon? It's everywhere, everyone's talking about it, Terry Boot got beaten up by Carrow for yelling about it in the Great Hall at dinner!" He asked and the five of us shared an uneasy look before Draco nodded

"Yes, it's true."

"Wicked, what'd you do with the dragon?" Neville asked with a gleeful laugh

"We set it free but by the way Violet was looking at it, she probably would have kept it if she could." Ron smirked and I rolled my eyes

"Like you wouldn't, the poor thing was terrified."

"What have you been doing? There are rumors that you were on the run Harry, of course I didn't believe them for a second. And you were reported dead back in February the deatheaters had a field day with that." Neville sighed looking at me

"You're right, but tell us about Hogwarts. We haven't really heard much, just that things were bad." Ron said and Neville nodded

"Bad is one word for it. You know about the Carrows?" He asked

"The two deatheaters that teach here?" Hermione asked confused

"They do more than teach, They're in
charge of all discipline. Like punishment, the Carrows." He sighed
