CHAPTER 10--ashley pov
I showed up to work the next day. As I walked by him I couldn't help but smile. Tyler noticed something had happened on the date. I walked to the back so I could sign in with Mrs. Morgan. When I left the room I could hear Tyler laughing.
It was about an hour until my shift ended when Shelbie, Tyler, Koda, Chase, and Riley were called to the secret lab place. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to, but I followed them to the lab. There was a monster attack by the railroad. They all grabbed their color gem (which I recently found out were the energems the monster from the forest wa looking for). All except for Riley, who was on his actual cell phone. He hung up and there was a look of terror in his eyes. "Sorry guys but I gotta go," he said while turning to leave. He didn't say anything else, just that he had to leave. I wonder why, I thought. Either way, the others left with me right behind them. Our focus was to get rid of the monster at the railroad. I still don't know what's wrong with Riley. I mean, what's his big secret?
