Nangiti ako sa nabasa. Agad akong bumangon sa kama at bumaba para sabihan si Mommny. Halos malaglag pa nga ako sa hagdan.
"Mom! I got accepted! I am now officially the newest secretary of Y and G!" I sounded like a happy kid.
Mom stopped stirring her coffee and turned to me. "Congrats, anak! You really want that right?"
I smiled widely. "Yeah," Saka ako naghilamos sa counter at nagmumug.
Monday went fast. Maaga akong gumising at agad na nagbihis at nag ayos. I'm wearing my usual office wear. Bagong heels din ang sinuot ko.
Kabado ako habang papunta sa kompanya. Agad naman akong naglog-in sa lobby pagdating.
Pinindot ko ang 40th floor at nagsimula nang tumaas ang elevator.
I inhaled a large amount of air before knocking at my boss' office door. My heart is pounding like crazy. Halos nabibingi na 'ko dahil sa lakas ng tibok ng puso ko.
I heard a voice saying I can come in now. Nang makapasok na 'ko ay naabutan ko ang boss ko na nakatingin sa glass wall. Ang coat niya ay nakasuot sa swivel chair. Leaving him only his polo shirt.
"G-good morning sir," Bati ko.
Sweet candy, just why on earth I stuttered every time I talked to him?
Humarap siya sa akin nang diretso ang mukha. Walang emosyon.
"Welcome, Ms. Valiente," A thousand voltage of electric current ran and travelled through my body. Nangilabot ako sa bati niya. I don't know if it is because his voice were full of authority and formality or his voice was just really cold.
"Thank you," sagot ko na lang.
"Have a seat. Let's talk about my rules and regulations." He offered and sat on his swivel chair.
