"W-wala naman po," kabado kong sagot.

He just shot his brow. Looking not convinced with my answer.

"Ms. Valiente. To my office. Now." He suppressed every word with his jaw locked.

I stood 2 meters from his table.

He sighed in disappointment. "Do you know what I hate the most, Ms. Valiente?"

Making me have a good impression about you? Na kakapasok pa lang, nagsisipag na? Showing me how worth it you are for the position we gave to you? Tapos ikaw, reklamo agad?" Masungit niyang hayag.

I bit my lip and swallowed hard. "Hindi naman po sa gano'n. I just thought that, it was too much work for a secretary.

"I'm the only one whose allowed to tell if that's too much of a work for you or not. You have no say about that. If I give it to you, do it." He cut me off.

I have no say? Really? Of course I don't. But, I know my limit!

"But I am secretary, Sir. Not some sales manager or financial analyst." I shot back.

Shit. Shit. Shit. I need to shut my mouth. I shouldn't talk back to him. He's my boss!

When I realised how terrible my mistake was, I looked down. Embarrassed. I just answered back at my boss. And this is not a good idea.

He scoffed and laughed without humor. I knew I'm done for when he stood up and walked closer to me.

My body is shivering in every step he take. While the distance between us is decreasing, my heart beat is increasing. He will fire me for sure. I'm done. You're done, Ran.

Sir Kio stopped when he's just 1 feet away from me. I could feel the power and the authority he's holding. And I'm fully aware whom I messed up with.

Silence took its way before I gasped when Sir Kio leaned on my left ear and tilted his head to face me.

"Watch your mouth, Ms. Valiente. You're brave enough to talk back. Fix that or I will fuck that attitude out of you." He whispered hard.

Chills and butterflies visit my stomach. I am holding my breath because I can't take the tiny distance between us. Plus, his face is just away from my cheeks. If I tilted my head to the left, we would probably kiss.

He then walked back to his table.

Gusto siyang sampalin sa totoo lang. I don't really know what's with him at sa akin niya binibigay ang trabaho na 'yon.
