The song is what I imagine would be going through his head at this moment, especially when he sees her laugh. So it's also a sneak peak into how he might be feeling. Might. Teehee
After we finished he kindly offered to drop me home, I gratefully accepted. We walked out from the place after he refused to let me pay my share.
"Oh please, it was my pleasure to have your company for a meal, plus a gentleman never let's a lady pay." He said as he easily handed his black card to the pretty shocked waiter. Dear god, if they didn't know who he was yet, they were definitely curious now.
"This gentleman is way too cocky for his own good." I said as I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms at my chest and sat back, looking annoyed.
"Oh come on! How does it matter? I can afford it you know?" He said while laughing. I gave him a serious look.
"Are you saying I can't?" I gave him my best intimidating look, he cowered for just a second.
"I'm saying you don't have to." He said with a smile.
"Fine whatever, It's just, if I knew you were paying I would have got more food." I joked with a smile.
"I told you to get more food, I knew that wouldn't help." I looked at his worried face and tried to keep a serious face. I burst out laughing.
"I was kidding." I said between the laughs. He tried to look annoyed for a bit but then broke into a smile himself.
"That's the first time I've seen you laugh." He said, a hint of dismissable sadness in his tone, I didn't dismiss it. I composed myself and sat back straight, at that moment the waiter came back with the cheque and Louis signed it.
"Thank you Mr. Tomlinson." The waiter said with a smile. 'Motherfucker.' I thought. Great now they definitely know who he is. I saw him go back to a girl standing with wide eyes, another server. He nodded at her and she looked like she was delving into her pocket, for what I assumed was her camera phone. Shit shit shit.
"Can we leave?" I said suddenly, getting a confused look from Louis. I quickly put on my sunglasses as he did the same.
"Sure we're done let's go." I didn't want to wait, I got up and grabbed my unfinished smoothie, grabbed his hand and tried to briskly walk out. He looked dazed for a moment, but then he grabbed my hand tighter and leaded me out. I noticed the girl missing. We reached his car and he took out his car keys and opened the door. I walked to the other side not wanting to stay out any longer than needed. He opened his door and I opened mine so he didn't feel the need to do it. I entered the car with a smirk as he faked offence. When he sat back inside he saw me struggle with the seat belt with one hand as I was holding my smoothie in the other.
"Let me." He said quietly and then leaned forward to pull the seat belt around my body and then click it at the side, all the while staring at me. Even after the seat belt was secured his eyes stayed glued to mine.
"You know you could have just held my smoothie while I did it." I whispered, looking down at this eyes. He raised his eyes in a way that said 'Are you serious?'
"Oh but this was so much more fun." He said and broke eye contact with a chuckle. I took in a sharp breathe and sat back. He opened a latch to reveal two cup holders. I narrowed my eyes at him and placed the smoothie in after a long sip. He started the engine with a shit eating grin on his face.
