As we got closer to the airport, I felt a sort of déjà vu. I felt nervous and unsure and the feeling intensified as we got closer to his destination. Louis was fast asleep on the passenger seat, curled up in a ball and snoring lightly, I smiled for probably the tenth time when I noticed his snoring again. A car went by honking it's horn the whole way, the disruption was enough to wake him up.
"We're almost there." I said with a small smile. He smiled and nodded, fixing himself up as he sat up straight.
"We're right on time too." Louis said looking at his watch, "Everyone must be there already." He said, I noticed the nervousness in his voice and it gave me some assurance that I wasn't alone in this. He looked towards me, and I kept looking at the road, waiting. We both remained quiet.
I finally drove into the airport, the tinted glass keeping the crowd and the flashing cameras out temporarily. Louis looked at me again, and I turned to look at him. He kept searching for the right thing to say but then just sighed and spoke up.
"I'll tell someone to take the car back, and they'll drop you back okay?" He said with concern.
"Okay." I replied softly, adding a smile in the end. He tucked a loose strand of hair back.
"Come on then." He said with a sure smile.
"What outside?" I asked with shock. He chuckled
"Well don't you want to meet my bandmates? Plus they kind have to take the car away." He said looking back, on queue someone knocked on my window and opened the door.
"Just look down and walk with me." Louis said with concern when I looked at him. I smiled and took a deep breath, then got out of the car. The shouting got louder and the flashing of cameras increased. I walked up to Louis and he grabbed my hand, leading me away from the crowd, I smiled at his gesture.
"Well if it isn't my crew." Louis said as we walked in to the airport, people still staring, cameras still flashing. They all turned to him, mirroring his grin, then they turned their attention to me.
"Louis mate, how did you manage to break your arm. Hi, I'm Liam by the way." He said turning from me to him, his expression changing as he did.
"I fell in the shower." Louis said, giving me a quick glance.
"I'm sure. Hi, Harry." Said Harry as he shook my hand with a friendly yet confused smile.
"He must have been day dreaming again, we all know he's gotten good at that." Niall said after he turned and smiled at me. "Niall." He said with a brief nod. Louis chuckled and turned to me.
"Meet my best friends why don't you, they're literally always like this." He said with a grin as he looked between us.
"I know who you all are, it's so nice to meet you, I'm Rachael." I said smiling as they all shook my hand.
"Rachael?" Harry said as he looked to me and then Louis with a proud smile. He then turned to the rest of them and said "Guys did you hear that it's Rachael." He said, they looked confused for a second then blushed and quickly turned to me with a chorus of 'nice to meet you' and 'we've heard so much about you', leaving me with a confused face. I turned to Louis to see him biting back a smile and narrowed eyes, looking directly at someone.
"You told them about me?" I said to him, he looked down and his expression turned to a smile.
"You might have come up a few times." He said, I heard a chuckle from behind me. We both focused back our attention at the crowd behind us. Harry called out for a few people asking to come meet me.
"Jesus Christ, I'll kill him." Louis breathed beside me. I turned to him with a coy smile and then turned to everyone to say hi.
"Okay alright, bugger off. All of you, you are going to send her running." Louis said and everyone gave a quick snort before walking away.
"It's time." He said turning me to face him. He looked down with a smile then looked up again. "I will really miss you and." He paused, his smile fading as he considered something. His smile grew again. "And I will see you again." He said with assurance. I bit my lip as I smiled.
"Is everyone still watching?" I asked, moving a little in excitement.
"Yes." Louis said with a sigh.
"Are the cameras still on us?" I asked, my heart beating fast. Louis looked behind me around.
"Yes." He said confused. I grinned at him like an idiot. Then I closed the gap between us and kissed him, the noise around got louder but I barely heard it. I pulled away, still grinning at him.
"That felt good." I whispered then pulled away. He grinned back. I leaned to the side, and looked at his bandmates, who were all grinning as well.
"It was nice meeting you all." I said with a wave, they waved back and I looked back at Louis.
"It was a pleasure Mr. Tomlinson." I said with a slight smile.
"The pleasure was all mine Miss Daniels." He said mirroring my expression. I turned away but he pulled my hand and kissed me on the cheek, leaving me surprised.
"I owed you a kiss on the cheek." He said and I laughed, remembering the last time we parted ways. He got called away for his flight he looked at me. "Time to go." He said as he toyed with my hand.
"Have fun." I said as my vision got blurry, but I didn't hold back this time. "You better come back." I said sniffing. He chuckled and pulled me into an embrace.
"I always keep my word love." He said, wiping a tear of my face with his thumb as he held my cheek.
"Well then." I said sniffing and gaining my composure as I wiped my tears. "Your move." I said and he smiled knowingly then walked away. I stood there watching him go as I smiled because, I trusted him.
