"What were you thinking of?" I leaned in and whispered in his ears. He just smiled and gestured towards the stairs before walking up them. I took a deep breath and excused myself from his family and walked up, my face burning and my heart beating. I saw him standing in front of a door, presumably waiting. He walked in and I followed closing the door behind me. As soon as I turned around I was greeted by a passionate kiss. The loud thud of me being pushed against the door was extremely audible, but in the moment all I could do was lace my hands into his hair urgently and pull into me trying to mirror his force from before as best I could. He groaned and I vulgarly almost lost my balance, the sound travelling down my spine to settle at my very core. He pulled away, again just enough to stop the kiss, but our lips still touching. I had started to like gesture this even more than actually kissing.

"Your family is downstairs. We're in your childhood bedroom." The panting in my voice amplifying the exasperation I wanted to feign.

"Well you wanted to know what I was thinking of." He stopped and shut his eyes for a second. "And you're a bit on the wild side yourself today. Hurt my hand a little there." He said with a goofy grin.

"Jesus!" I exclaimed. Before I could finish my apology I pulled back only to have my head collide with the door and another loud thump. I let out an involuntary 'ow' and looked to very worried eyes.

"Are you okay?" He asked worried, his hand under mine behind my head trying to soothe the pain.

"That's my punishment for taking the Lord's name in vain." I said with pained laugh. Louis let out a snort and burst into a fit of laughter, after a while he looked back at me and with half seriousness smiled.

"Does it really hurt though?" He asked; his hand still behind my head.

"Yes, it really does." I said with another pained chuckled.

"Oh baby." Louis chuckled and pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry about your head." He said, stroking my hair. My hands on his chest and my head just under his chin, he turned and rested his chin on my head. I not only heard but felt his sigh, he didn't sense my heart twisting though.

"I'm sorry for hurting your hand." I turned and spoke into his neck, hoping the muffled tone masked the current weak nature of my voice.

"It's quite alright love. It was well worth it." He chuckled and I joined in. We ensued to remained silent and just stood there, it felt agonisingly comfortable.

"Louis?" I asked after a few moments passed, unsure and nervous. He just hummed into my hair. I paused for a second, trying to break down my emotions into a fathomable confession. I felt his body still, almost like he knew what even I didn't. He still gave me the time, I was grateful to him. He remained patiently still and I could feel our heartbeats. They were both clearly distinguishable but still harmonised. He pulled me in closer to him. I took in a deep breath, inhaling only him. But before I could speak up the door knocked. I broke away from him and composed myself and stood beside him as he said a low 'come in.'

"Nanna wants to meet your friend Louis." His sister said as she walked in with a chuckle. Her smile faded slightly as if she sensed a little tension in the atmosphere. "Just wanted to tell you that, also mom asked if you would like something to eat or drink." She said fidgeting with her fingers.

"Just some water would be fine really, I'll be right down." I said with a genuine smile. She smiled back, feeling less tensed. She then looked back at Louis and gave a short sigh before walking out, closing the door. I stood there for a small second before I dragged my feet and started to walk out. I passed by him but before I could move any further he grabbed my hand, causing me to turn around at him. His jaw looked tense, like he was gritting his teeth. He didn't need to speak to elucidate his thoughts, I didn't need to either. His eyes pried further and I gave him a sad smile then shook my head. He gave me a sad smile himself and let my hand go. I walked to the door.

"I'll be down in a minute okay?" He said and I turned around, he gave me a smile and I gave him the same, I think we both ignored each other's eyes at that moment.
