"You walk around so freely aren't you worried that they'll see you with me?" I said as we walked out of the ice cream place with two large cups of ice cream. Louis took in a deep breath and turned to me, like he was preparing himself.

"No, why would I?" He said and turned to me like he was intently listening to my answer. I looked down, feeling like I asked a stupid question. I blushed at my ice cream.

"Umm you know, you are like this big celebrity. I mean there are these pictures of you from the most basic places, It's like they're stalking your every move." I said as we walked up to his car and leaned on the bumper.

"Yes well I am aware of that, but I don't see why you'd think I would be embarrassed of being seen with you." He said with the same intense curiosity as before. "If anything I think it's you who doesn't want to be seen with me." He said simply and turned to his ice cream.

"That's not true." I said unconvincingly.

"Sure, but it's alright. I get it, people are going to toss your name around, look you up and you'll be media scoop. It's a part of my job, you shouldn't have to endure that." He said in an understanding tone. I bit the inside of my cheeks.

"That's not it. I could care less about what people say about me on twitter and the like. I am a surprisingly self-secure person." I said nervous about what to say next.

"What is it then?" He asked as he turned to look at me.

"It's just that. If people see us together, if they start tossing around, speculating." I paused to look at him.

"Then they'll wonder what we are." Louis said, understanding my implication. He just smiled at his ice cream. "Yeah well I won't force you into a situation you aren't comfortable in, but it doesn't matter to me what people say. I only care about you." He said, still not looking at me. I blushed at his words, when I turned to him his neck was red making me smile.

"Not many people have said that to me, it's a heavy statement you know, like a promise." I said, still smiling.

"Well miss it's a good thing I'm infamous for withholding my promises." He said putting his fist on his heart I laughed and he soon joined in soon enough. We stood in our spot finishing ours and eventually each other's ice creams, taking about his friends and band members and what it's like to be touring all the time, we talked about how law school was and my life at university. We talked about everything we could think of as dusk settled and we finished our giant cups of ice cream before heading onto the road.
