After a long time waiting, Louis was taken away to be checked. An hour and two X-rays later it was concluded that his Ulna, or forearm, was cracked and displaced. He was taken away for plastering and for his medicines. And after an awkward conversation with just the doctor about the 'nature of my relationship with the patient' I was sitting outside waiting for him to come back.

I saw him being pushed out of on a wheelchair; he smiled when he saw me. The nurse who pulled him up to me handed me two bottles of medicine.

"Give him the calcium supplement every day, thrice and the painkiller only if the pain is unbearable." She said quickly and a little irritated.

"I don't-" I began.

"I'm sorry I don't have time for this just take the medicine and him so I can go do my job." She said then handed me the medicine and left in a hurry.

"She's been like that since the beginning, maybe her boyfriend left her." Louis said with a chuckle and I looked down at him.

"She's just busy, come on you nuisance. Looks like I have to drive you home." I said with a chuckle.

He got up and got into the car slowly as I held the passenger side open for him. He slid in and I shut the door after which I went around to the driver's side of his car.

"You opened the door for me this time." Louis grinned, I laughed at his observation. "So you have to drive my car all the way to London." He said.

"Yes, with you in it." I said looking at him.

"But you have to take me to my mom's place first; I need to pick up my things." His grin grew wide.

"Yes, yes you told me." I said nervously, his grin just grew wider.

"You'll love my family." My eyes squinted shut.

"Louis I-"

"Hey, you said so yourself, this is your fault, now you do have to do this." He grinned. I sighed and fell back on the seat. He was just grinning because I was so uncomfortable.

After light conversation and a pregnant silence laced in my anxiety, I spoke up, "So your entire family is there?" I asked with a voice as casual as I could make it.

"Yup." He simply replied, popping the 'p'. I wanted to hit him for his nonchalance. "It's a Sunday, plus I was home." He said with a shrug.

"But you weren't though." I said, my hands moist. He missed his family weekend for me, and now his whole family will know that and hate me, great.

"Oh no, I was there for a day or so, then I had to do something important." He looked at me with a casual smile.

'You', I could almost hear his mind. I kept driving.

"So I'll just stay in the car while you get your things?" I asked, trying hard to hide my hopeful face.

"You want to rush my last meeting with family for four more months?" He asked with is eyebrows knit together.

Shit.

"No no. I'm sorry you can have all the time you want with your family, that's not what I meant." I said quickly, my cheeks have never felt this warm.

"So you will come inside so I don't feel obliged to rush right?" He said slowly, like he was talking to a child.

"Yes I suppose, but-" I rubbed the back of my neck at how uncomfortable this felt.

"No buts!" He said firmly. "It's also my Nana's birthday." He said, casually yet again, like this was not the most excruciating thing to look forward to. My eyes went wide.

"It's not your Nana's birthday really is it?" I probably looked painfully desperate right now, and I didn't really care.

"No it's not." He said with a smile.

"I will hurt you." I said exasperated.

"That's what I'm scared of." I laughed, even though it didn't feel like a joke.
