Hayley, Xan and Jae we're sitting at their usual spot near the black lake, Monday evening. They were still processing that one of the students, a student from their year, had been attacked by something from the Chamber.
Jae: I just can't believe he's...petrified
Xan: Same...
Hayley: Well the legend of the Chamber of Secrets just got a lot more real...
Jae: Yeah, it's hard to believe something like this would happen...
Xan: We don't know who exactly the 'Heir of Slytherin' is targeting,
Hayley: Obvious the Slytherins won't have problems, its the other houses,
Jae: Muggle-borns especially, Creevey was one...
Xan: Makes sense, that's why Salazar left the school right?
Jae: I'm not sure if we should be throwing around names like that out loud,
Hayley: We can't get paranoid Jae, though we have a good reason to be, we shouldn't,
Jae: Hmm
Xan: You should start learning some defence, real Defence Choi,
Jae: Wouldn't hurt if all joined in
Hayley: Remember the last time we started something in the name of defence?
Jae: We could do this differently! Learning some spells and practising them is a good idea,
Xan: Yeah...
Hayley: Are we getting too ahead of ourselves?
Jae: Maybe, but we need this
Hayley: I suppose...
Jae: We could start off by reading some actual Defence Against the Dark Arts Guides, we all know Lockhart's amount next to rubbish,
Xan: Don't how people actually like that guy, I mean he goes around smiling like a buffoon,
Hayley: Many think that's charming, there's a girl in my dorm who has tonnes of his pictures stashed in her trunk,
Xan: Ugh
Jae: You aren't of them are you?
Hayley: NO! Have you met me?
Jae: Just needed some reassurance,
Xan: We need to return to the castle, Mcgonagall would end us if we go late,
Jae: Right.
They walked in silence until Hayley spoke,
Hayley: Do you guys think I'm a Muggle Born?
Jae: Yes
Xan: Um no, there are almost no muggle-born Slytherins,
Jae: Almost no one, so maybe she is one of the rare ones,
Xan looked unconvinced and was about to argue back when Hayley stopped them
Hayley: ok ok stop it, forget I asked
Xan shrugged, as they climbed the stairs to the first floor and soon the conversation was about the latest Transfiguration Homework.
