Jae let out an aggravated sigh, to which Xan gave a questioning look,
"It's just annoying that we have to run behind Filch every weekend for the next three months," Jae said with a hand under his chin, Hayley's expression slightly fell at that, a pool of guilt forming in her, which went unnoticed by her friends.
"Ooo, look at the model student throwing tantrums," Xan said with an eyebrow raised,
"No, it's just that I'd rather be reading the book Mcgonagall recommended us," Jae added hurriedly,
"You know, sometimes I think you aren't as much of a Ravenclaw than I thought you were, but then you say something like this," Xan said, shaking his head, to which Hayley laughed.
"Well that's maybe because I am a Ravenclaw," Jae said with a pointed look, as he took a spoon of potatoes and swallowed them.
"Okay, it's time I go to the Dungeons, Bye!" Hayley said as she started to go towards Snape's office, for detention.
"Well we better head to Filch's office," Jae said,
"I hope he gives us something we can do together, I need to tell you about something," Xan said, looking behind him to check if Hayley had gone.
"You could've said it earlier, Hayley was also there," Jae said, looking curious.
"Well this about Hayley," Xan said seriously,
"What about her?" Jae asked clueless,
"Swear you won't tell this to her," Xan said, while Jae gave him a skeptical look.

Meanwhile, Hayley entered Snape's office.
"Take that piece of parchment from my desk and start taking inventory of all potion ingredients and antidotes. Start with the Students' store," Snape said as he sat in his chair reading a book.
"Yes sir," Hayley replied as she got to work. Sometime later, she spoke to Snape,
"May I ask you a question Professor?", Snape took his eyes off the book and looked at her, signalling he has her attention,
"Are there any particular ingredients which are dangerous?" She questioned, her mind going to the potion brewing in the Girls Lavatory.
"Everything is dangerous unless it's handled properly, though there are some which need more vigilance. In the end, it all comes down to how it's being used, some seemingly easy potions have unimaginable power within them," Snape said, his eyes glinting. Hayley nodded, her head was whirling around thinking about what that particular potion was capable of.
"I've finished it, Professor," she said,
"How about antidotes?" He asked,
"Those too," Hayley replied,
"Well then," he said standing up,
"We might as well check my private stash," he said as he walked towards the store cupboard.
Hayley couldn't help but feel a sense of privilege grip her, even though this was detention. Someone as secretive and brooding as Professor Snape won't give any student a glimpse at his private store. As Snape opened the door, Hayley gasped, her eyes rapidly moving over all bottles and jars of unique and rare ingredients.
"It's like an apothecary in here," she said in a flattered tone, Snape gave a twisted smile as he said,
"On the contrary, you won't find most of these in any Apothecary in Britain," He said
