Location: Astronomy Tower.
Time: 11:30 PM

Hayley, Xanthus and Jae along with other first years from Ravenclaw and Slytherin were attending their Astronomy class, taught by Professor Sinistra. The three were sitting next to eachother, Xanthus who was eagerly looking through his telescope, rapidly scratching notes, Jae who was sleeping with his eyes open and Hayley who was sleeping with her eyes closed.

Xan: Jaaee! Are you listening to me?

Jae : Huh... What were you saying?

Xan looked angrily at him.

Xan: What are you doing?

Jae: Focussing the lens on the moon....?

Xan: Professor Sinistra told us that 15 mins ago, for checking the lens...

Jae: .....

Xan: You should've finished observing Mercury and went on to Venus by now,

Jae: OK, It's alright, I can manage,

Jae gulps as he scrambles to align the telescope. Xan turns to his other side to see Hayley sleeping on her desk.

Xan: Wake up!

Xan said as he shook Hayley, who woke up startled.

Hayley: What's going on?

She asked in a groggy voice.

Xan: You can't just fall asleep during a class!

Hayley: Did you and Jae switch personalities or something? And I'd like to remind you that it's you who sleeps through every Class of History of Magic, while I'm stuck taking notes for you.

Hayley said with a sarcastic smile.

Xan: Well... that's History and this is Astronomy and its unlike you to sleep like this,

Hayley: I didn't sleep well last night,

Xan: Why?

Hayley: Nothing particular...

Xan looks at her suspiciously before setting up Hayley's telescope.

Hayley: Thanks.

Xan: Start with Mercury...

Jae: Hey I think I found Venus, but I think your telescope is pointing to the wrong direction,

Xan: That is because I'm observing Saturn, I'm done with Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter.

Xan said proudly.

Jae: My bad...

Xan: It's alright, not everyone can pick up the science of Astronomy,

Jae glared at him.

Xan: OK I may laid it a bit thick. It's easy for me because I've studied Celestial Objects since I was 5.

Jae: Wow...

The three return to back to their work.

Half an hour later

Hayley fell asleep once more on her desk. A furious Xanthus who saw this violently shook Hayley, to wake up her once more. Hayley woke up even more startled than the last time, causing her kick her table making all her instruments to fall down with a loud clatter.

Professor Sinistra: What is going on there?!?!

The professor shouted at Xan, Hayley and Jae.

Jae: I did nothing Professor!

Xan: I've finished observing all the planets, you can check my notes!

Hayley: ...

Professor Sinistra: You are going to submit me an essay about Venus the next class.

She told to Hayley with a stern look.

Hayley: Yes Professor.

A few moments later

Hayley: Oh thank you so much for your help out there!

She said, looking at Xan and Jae, on their way back to their Common Rooms.

Xan: I did warn you once,

Jae: And I was half asleep,

Hayley looked unamused.

Xan: You've got to admit, it was quite funny,

Jae: Yes!

Hayley: Why am I friends with you both?...
