A Wednesday afternoon, first-year Slytherins and Ravenclaws scurried out of the Transfiguration Classroom as the class got over, while three lingered back. "What are you three still standing for?" Asked Mcgonagall peering through her spectacles.

"Erm, there's something we need to ask to you Professor," Hayley said as she, Xan and Jae huddled around Mcgonagall's desk.

"Well ask away," said Mcgonagall as she was skimmed through their essays.

"Professor, would you like to suggest us some Defence Against Dark Arts books?" Jae asked in an uncertain tone, Mcgonagall stared at him with an unreadable expression,

"We want to gather some extra knowledge for erm-",

"I think this is something you need to ask your Defence Against Dark Arts Professor and not your Transfiguration Professor, Mr Choi," said Mcgonagall, cutting Jae's attempt to explain.

"Well, we did try asking him that, but the conversation somehow ended up with him, signing our Textbooks and asking us to not be shy, if we wanted an autograph for two," Xan said, with a fake puzzled look, Mcgonagall gave him a sharp look,  to which he responded with an exaggerated shrug.

The professor studied the three of them, before letting out what almost looked like a smile.

"Well the book, The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self Protection, is a very useful one for beginners and it's certainly somewhere you can get started," she told them.

"Thanks a lot, Professor," said Jae smiling, as he bowed his head a little. Just as the three were about to step out of the classroom Mcgonagall called Hayley for a second.

"I noticed that your work has drastically improved from the past classes, and I would very much like it if you could keep it up. Transfiguration isn't essentially a difficult subject, it just requires some concentration and confidence," she said,

"Thank you, Professor, I will keep that in my mind," Hayley said, beaming as she came out of the Classroom.

"What was that about?" Xan asked,

"Nothing much," Hayley replied as they passed through the windows showing the Quidditch Pitch. Xan suddenly stopped in his tracks, looking out of the windows.

"What day is it today?!" Xan asked with an alarmed expression,

"Wednesday," Jae answered calmly,

"I need to hurry to the stands," Xan said, as he fastened his pace,

"Why?!" Jae asked,

"The Ravenclaws have a practice today, I've never seen them fly before, so this is crucial," Xan spoke frantically,

"Would they allow you to watch it though? You're a Slytherin," said Hayley as if it were very obvious,

"Of course not! And that's why I need to get there early to hide!" Xan added,

"It's my house," Jae said, defensively,

"Come along then," Xan said before beginning to sprint, whilst shouting,

"Curse these corridors for being so long!"

Hayley and Jae stood for a moment seeing him shout, "You know what, I might join him too," Jae said before running to catch up with Xan, as Hayley just stood behind staring at her two friends with her mouth gaping.

After dropping off her books in the common room, Hayley decided to go to the library to check the book recommended by Mcgonagall. As she walked through the corridors, she saw Hermione Granger coming out of the abandoned Girls Toilet on the floor, infamously known for its inhabitant, Moaning Myrtle. Hayley jogged up to her,
