The weekend had one of the few important matches of the Quidditch Tournament, Gryffindor Vs. Hufflepuff. Xan and Jae were pretty sure Gryffindor would win the match, solidifying their chances at taking the cup.
Since the match was so crucial, Oliver Wood, Captain of the Gryffindor team, had been giving them practices all day everyday, so Xan didn't ask Harry for his broom. Though him and Xan hadn't stopped discussing some new moves they wanted to try out on the broom, moves which may make Harry Potter sob with snot coming off his nose, in fear of losing his broom.
The day of the match arrived and the conditions were perfect for Quidditch, it was sunny, and the breeze was blowing at an optimum speed. Almost all of the school had assembled at the stands to watch the match. After lots of shoving, getting kicked in their shins and being squeezed, Hayley, Xan and Jae found good seats. After catching their breath, the group settled themselves and waited for the match to start along with the rest of the crowd.
The phrase, Expect the Unexpected never resounded to Hayley as much as it had until the moment when she could hear the voice of Professor Mcgonagall through the megaphone,
"All students are to make their way back to the House common rooms, where their Heads of Houses will give them further information. As quickly as you can, please!"
And that's all she had said. The students let out their displeasure by making resounding boos and complaints,
"You've got to be kidding me," Xan mumbled exhaustedly,
"Do you reckon it's something with the Chamber?" Hayley asked,
"It's always the chamber isn't it?" Jae said staring out into the Quidditch pitch.
They parted ways as Jae went to the Ravenclaw Tower while Xan and Hayley walked to the dungeons.
The emerald shaded room slowly fillled with people, the chatter got louder and louder as everyone was coming up with their own theories on what must've happened. Hayley and Xan sat at their usual spot near the window, as Professor Snape walked in with a serious expression, his black eyes as dull and emotionless as ever.
He cleared his throat and the crowd went silent, waiting to hear what their house head has to say.
"I'm here to make the announcement that, the heir of Slytherin has striked again. This time with a double attack. Due to this our protocols will be more strict, and all evening activities including Quidditch will be suspended until further notice. You will be escorted by a teacher to all of your classes and none of you are advised to roam about, unless you wish to end up in the hospital wing." He said.
"But sir, we're slytherins aren't we? Why should we be afraid of what the heir is doing, he's doing it for us. " Malfoy said,
"It's best not to cross the path of the Heir Mr. Malfoy, now I have to return to the staff room for further discussion, " Snape said in a curt tone which left no further room for discussion, as he walked away his black robes swishing behind him,
"Who were attacked sir? " Draco asked with a glint in his eyes,
"Oh you will know, " Snape said his lips twisting.

That evening during dinner they came to know that Hermione Granger and Penelope Clearwater were the ones who had been attacked.
Hayley felt bad after hearing what happened to Hermione, granted they weren't braiding each other's hair but she did feel sorry about what happened.
All houses except Slytherin seemed rather shaken up about the event. The ever eccentric house's energy seemed to be refueled due to the debates of guessing who the heir is. Draco Malfoy and some older students were discussing on how they hoped history would repeat itself.
