CHAPTER 15A: Honeymoon or Lemon moon 2?

It has been a whole week since the time I ran away from Vladimir at work. I had left quite a good impression at his hotel, by the time I went back there everyone wanted to talk to the girl who could turn a blind eye to Mr Slavich's instructions. It was irritating for him but I loved all the attention especially if it was for defying him. when I came home last week I had vehemently stood my ground for him not to fire Lola, Somea and Benitez. Those were one of his loyal employees who took good care of his mansion when he wasn't there plus they happen to be my friends now.

I practically dragged them back to the house after he barked at them, I simply ignored him whenever he tried to say something. I have been giving him silent treatment ever since that day. He had stepped over the line and I wasn't going to wait for him to step over me too. He made it clear where our statuses stand in this marriage so I was giving him space to do whatever he wanted with whomever he wanted. Maybe it was the fact that I refused to admit that he does have the upper hand but I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him forcing and manipulating me. Now if he was going to spend the next two years playing that card then I might as well start preparing my cards.

My week consisted of me having to go with Vladimir as his trophy wife to meetings with his investors, "yeah it was so fun". After that, I just spent my days in the silence of the jungle on the home Island since he still won't let me go to the other island.

I decided to explore his island, I mean it was huge and gorgeous with so many things to do and see but it's not the same because you don't have people to laugh at you or comment if you fall. It's not full of life and energy, it's calm and quiet which is something I love but I had come to this place to move out of my comfort zone. Going scuba diving and surfing, even learning how to swim. I have never really bothered myself with learning since I am afraid of deep waters, the thought of drowning just made me panic. If I couldn't feel the ground of the swimming pool I would panic, which is why I haven't gone down to swim in the ocean.

He won't even let anyone teach me, it's like he didn't want me to learn at all and it's kind of sad on my part. Today I would be getting the chance to socialise because Vladimir is going to take a business break... well sort of. There was going to be a bash tonight at all the clubs on his public island so he was going to check out their progress but mainly his clubs' progress. They will also be his project investors present which he wanted to socialise with so I had to attend with him and smile around like an obedient wife. It's nice that he actually thought of inviting me, I'm practically left with six days of this honeymoon and I had done nothing worth a while except pictures to deceive the public.

I was busy drying my Afro hair after bathing and Lola was helping me. Somea was busy going through my clothes to get an ideal outfit for this outing.

" It needs to be semi-formal since it's a social outing with big shots." I screamed at Somea in my walk-in closet.

It was always easy to socialise and have fun with them in the bedroom because Vladimir was hardly there. The girls have realised how little we spend time with each other but they refrained from asking too many questions. They probably thought that we had sleepless nights...If only they knew how dead asleep, sprawled on the bed I would be. They never asked why I spent more time in the spacious bed than the main bed. I guess they had seen a lot of things happen here and have learned to keep their mouth's shut.

" Tonight he won't be able to take hands off you." Lola squealed as she finished my hair which was now impressively styled.

" I won't let him touch me." I told them honestly.

They knew how angry I have been with him for not allowing me to have some fun. If he doesn't want to be happy he should not involve everyone else in his misery.
