Vladimir’s POV

“Firstly you showed me no respect, secondly you brought me the wrong file and now you enter my office without my consent. Who do you think you are?" I asked calmly but in an angry manner.

"Sir my sincere apologies, but I had come to put the correct files on your table...I...I did not want to dist-" Rodriguez my assistant stammered.

"Don't take me for a fool, in fact, I want you out of this building in two hours." I commanded frustrated to see his face.

" Sir...wh...what do you mean?" Rodriguez asked in a state of denial.

"I mean exactly what I said....you're fired. I do not tolerate tardiness and people who are unfocused." I stated.

"No sir please, this will never happen again I beg of you, do not fi-" Rodriguez pleaded.

"Rodriguez, I am a man of my words and I will not have you demand something I have taken away from you. I have some places to be for the rest of my day so get out of my face."

Rodriguez made his way out of my office looking like he just lost his favourite toy. Served him right. I was not only pissed at him but at my father who had disturbed my whole schedule because of some personal talk he had with me and my mother.

I had no time to waste, every minute and second of my life had a schedule whether it is relaxation time, a date with some supermodel, meetings or even my sleeping period. Time was my life, just as how all my companies had become my living bread.

Slavich premium Enterprises was a place I had been working in since I was fifteen years old. My grandfather thought it was a grand idea to " catch them young" and now he said that I had become obsessed with work... which was true, but I didn’t care.

I made my way out of my family company which was my main priority at the moment. I became so focused on obtaining my own success that right now at the age of 26 I had three major companies of my own namely; 'Jarring Sports' which was my sports clothing and gym company, 'Lavish Slavich Diana' was my club and 'Vladimir Engines' which was my car company. The names were quite exquisite if you asked the eighteen-year-old me.

I was lucky enough that I got good genes coming from my parents, Diana and Nathan Slavich, which I put to good use and did modelling on the side.

It was not easy but I made sure I earned my money without the help of my birth fortune. Due to my hard work, I was now one of the richest men in the world. I was still a bit far from Bill Gates but being one of the youngest billionaires made me feel a lot better.

As I made my way out of my personal elevator, I heard my phone ringing and I groaned as I looked at the caller ID. "I just came out of a meeting and had a hold-up, but I'm on my way dad."

"Young man, do not use that crazy professional speech with me, I am your father, not some business associates." He scolded.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry dad. I'm on my way." I said more casually.

I get into my Lamborghini Hurricane and I made my way out of the garage to my parent’s house. I really wondered what they were going to lecture me about, I hope it was not about my work life, it had really become a problem for them. They said I had become distant and too professional even with personal relationships.

I enter the gates of the grand Slavich mansion, it was a name I decided to give the place just for the fun of it. It was a unique Victorian time building with a garden and a lot of nature. My parents said it was better to have a comfortable place to call home, not like I who lived in hotel apartments and condos.
