ADDYLINE'S POV:

“Uh...well...Uhm, I..uh need to talk to you. It’s...very important.” I stuttered terribly as if it was my first time meeting him.

This was when I really wished my heart would cooperate with me for once, we, as in mind and heart are supposed to work together and show this man that we are not emotionally in need of him.

He didn’t say a word or even nod, he just simply opened the door wider to let me in. I walked in trying my best not to even smell his donating fragrance which was useless because this was his office and it would obviously be filled with it. Wow, I must admit it’s a very impressive office and also finely neat for a person who works as much as Vladimir. Everything looked vintage, the bookshelf was filled to the very brim with all different types of novels, articles and files; it had two amazing looking single sofas that faced the view over the glass wall and lastly his humongous desk.

I didn’t know where to sit, opposite his chair on the desk or at the sofas. Still being a silent enemy he strode past me and went to sit on the sofa, for a moment he took a deep glance at me then looked out to the view. I made it onto the other seat and imitated him by looking at the very nice view of his forest but I couldn’t suffocate myself for long therefore I decided to initiate the conversation.

“ You want something.” He figured as if he had predicted that everyone who comes to him wants something.

It didn’t matter, he was right anyway.

“Well, I... I came to plead that you start with your part of the deal, it’s something that you owe me. My mom is already in the city and my sister will be arriving tomorrow. I need all the details of the specialist you suggested, you won’t have to bother yourself with being fully involved. The only thing I need is unfortunately your money and connections.” I spoke without a care in the world of what he was thinking right now.

I can’t continue to please him with empty words, from now on I will speak facts. He nodded still not looking at me.

“I'll ask Anthony to email you the details for Mr Raez, he will be your mother's new doctor. I’ll also have to call him to let him know that you will be coming. If there are any payments needed to be done you let me know.” He simply spoke as if he was a robot addressing information to its master but in a very cold and distant way.

“Actually, I would like to talk to you about that.” I said and that immediately caught his attention as he turned his straight face towards me. That made me more nervous.

“If it is possible, I would like you to borrow me one of your Cards to use in the meantime. I realised that transferring so much cash would raise suspicions and you might think that I will run away paying me. That is why I’m asking for one of your cards that I am only allowed to use three million as my limit. In the case that I do run away, you will be able to freeze it and you can make sure I don’t steal your money.” I humbly suggested hoping he would agree.

“Listen I can’t do that, there is more than three million in each of my cards.”

“People, mostly our families will think that you’re being Charitable to your wife. Look, I don’t want to come and beg for money every single time I need it and in this case, it’s going to be a lot of times. I need to start paying for Lililth’s school, stationery and books then my mom's chemo will be starting soon. All that drains money out of a person!” I convinced trying to make him see the point.

“I will organize a card to use in the course of being my wife.” He concluded.

That’s weird, it was too easy to make him say yes. What’s wrong with him? This is not normal! Could it be a trap? What do I say? He really can be a ticking bomb!
