ADDYLINE'S POV:
"Did you manage to give Freddie the designs for Mr Graham?" I asked Rowen
"Yes I did and he gave these back... I'm not sure why." She answered giving me back the rejected file.
"I think that if you just attend the two meetings of Mrs Sandavoult you'll be done for the day. You will need to write every specific detail down, it's absolutely important." I instructed with so much energy and enthusiasm.
I'm super happy! Why? Well, I can finally go back to work tomorrow. I know, I know, I was supposed to go in two weeks but...this past week Viola made me her slave and now I can walk without restraint. Going to work means that I am able to walk up the stairs, stand for a maximum of twenty minutes in flat shoes. The condition is that I don't walk in heels at all for as long as I am unable to which I am totally fine with as long as I am out of this boring mansion.
"Before you go I just want to know if Uhm... Mr Marlon asked for a recreation on the Arcade only." I asked seated on my temporary work at a home desk.
I haven't requested an office but I think I deserve one, I certainly will not continue working on the dining room on the ground floor right near the main entrance of the house. Everyone who enters will hear me talking about client's and that is not right since it should be confidential.
"He also requested for the final Building Information Modelling but that will be after we have modified the Arcade." She informed looking over her iPod.
I shuffled around the table looking for my diary which I had lost in the many papers and designs on the desk. I sighed sitting down as I opened it to note down. It is always easier for me to write my immediate things in a physical diary than my phone diary.
"Alright, I think this will be enough for me to work with today. You can just send all the details of the meetings to me, you won't have to-"
I was interrupted by the clicking of stilettos on the sleek tile floors of the door, I and Rowen looked up with cautious anticipation wondering who it could be. Brodie came running from the kitchen and opened the door and I looked at the door only to see an absolutely gorgeous stranger waltz in with confidence. I stood up amazed at the beauty and elegance of which she smiled looking around at every part of the house until she looked in our direction with an arm on her hip.
Deep red hair, deep brown eyes and well-structured face as well as body. If she isn't a model then the world is truly not doing her any justice. Not to mention her clothes...they just suited her so well. A black leather jacket with an all-white blouse tucked into her high waist jean, last but not least was the glossy black heels. I guess she fits into the bad girl look but I could simply be judging a book by its cover.
"Uhm..hi mam." I said walking slowly not knowing if she will even acknowledge me.
What could a lovely woman like her be doing here, as far as I know, Vladimir always makes sure his visitors arrive when he is present. Is he still here? He usually goes to work at six and it's already half-past seven.
She looked at me once and I felt ashamed at my attire, it was just a simple navy blue floral dress. It's nice enough to know that I am the wife of a billionaire but not gorgeous enough to be in the presence of such beauty. What? You want me to lie and say that I am beautiful so there is nothing to worry about? The woman is literally ready for the runway.
"Oh hi ladies, It's good that I found you in here and not in the kitchen. Do me a kind favour and get Yolanda for me." She said walking closer to us.
I was confused with her demand for a second until I realised that she thought we worked in the house. We definitely are workers of Vladimir but not house helpers, she should at least confirm that before commanding people around anyway, I can't force the blame on her.
"It's ok Rowen you go on and get to work." I told her as she was about to go and call Yolanda. She turned around while nodding with a smile as she took her belongings and went to work.
I turned to the lovely lady with a smile.
"You don't have to worry I will go and call Vladimir for you." I informed putting down my pen about to go upstairs.
"So it's true!" She confessed with a cocky smile finally checking me out from top to bottom.
I looked at her wondering what could be true.
                              "What's true?" I asked.
"That he actually got married!" She announced shaking her head but still having a smile. She walked to my desk and sat then I followed her but I remained standing with the support of the desk.
Wasn't she one of his lovers?
"I'm sorry, but I had been so busy in Paris to entertain all those rumours...well I thought they were rumours. I did believe that he had a new soccer ball to play with but I had no idea it would turn out to be this serious." She remarked somehow entertained.
I frowned as I listened to her statements even more. Paris? Isn't that... Oh my goodness, she is Amelia Sadie! What? That's impossible! I looked at her carefully and her features matched with the pictures which I had searched.
"What's wrong? You look pale! Don't tell me you're already pregnant." She stood up with a mocking smile.
With every word that comes out of her mouth, I start to dislike her. Why does she have to be so cocky?
"You're Amelia Sadie." I thought out loud as I pointed to her.
"Well of course I am, who else would be me." She joked.
I looked at her bewildered at what was transpiring in front of me. She was the woman I had stolen Vladimir from, I know that he is not some type of priced possession but they had never broken up. I had come in the way of their growing love for each other. I looked at her and I came to wonder even more about why she is still being so kind to me. She should be showering me with insults if not slaps!
I don't know if I should confront her or not, she does deserve an explanation after all. I looked at her once more wanting to get over the guilt I feel inside. I walked closer to her until I had her full attention.
"Uh listen, Ms Sadie, there are things I need to explain to you. I am-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, look sweetie You seem like a VERY nice person and all but I seriously need to see Vladimir. Maybe we can have this conversation the next time I come." She interrupted me as if she wanted to escape.
                              "But I-"
"You are persuasive but I really need to have a very long talk with Vladimir, he can only be patient if one comes unannounced." She interrupted not in the least interested in what I had to say.
I swallowed whilst sighing as I watched her walk up the stairs. She is very comfortable in this house, it was probably her territory.
"Is he in the bedroom or in the office?" She turned still walking up the stairs unfaltering.
"He must be in his office." I muttered enough for her to hear.
I went back to my seat shaking my head not knowing how to feel about her presence in this house worst of all with Vladimir. I know I shouldn't feel as if I am jealous but I have distant feelings for Vladimir, somehow being his wife has made me feel some type of ownership over him. That should be considered a crime to feel possession over Vladimir...someone's man, Amelia Sadie is the girl.
What if she wanted him back? What if HE still wanted her? I groaned with a terrible twist in my tummy. I don't want that to happen in fact I want to pray that it does not happen but who am I to decide his life. The mistakes of our grandparents shouldn't stop us from pursuing happiness and if Amelia makes Vladimir happy then I will let it be, just as long as it does not affect our marriage life in public.
