ADDYLINE’S POV:
Today marks exactly one year, eleven months and five days left for my marriage to Vladimir. I feel new, alive, energetic and ready to do what’s right in my life. It was already ten in the morning and I had just come out of a reviving session with Viola. I must admit, I loved it!
I never knew starting things on a new leaf could bring such joy to my tummy. Sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea in my hand I looked deep into the garden with a smile permanently plastered on my face. Viola's exercises have definitely helped me get better, even forcing myself to walk with the support of the walls has allowed my bones and back to become much stronger. I would be walking in approximately two weeks from now.
My life might not be as perfect as I wanted it to be but I definitely was perfectly situated to be, at THIS point in my life. For what reason? I have no idea but I will not sit back and enjoy my life fall down the drain. I don’t think anyone in their right mind would enjoy that.
I looked back inside the house as Yolanda came back with my coat in her hand. These past two days have been chilly however, I had decided to wear as if it was a sunny and bright day. I even wore a flowery and bright red dress! I was on my way out to see my mother hence the excitement. Ever since I came back from that fake honeymoon and my mom moved into my house, I hadn’t gotten a chance to visit her.
Though she was now living in the same city as me, we were about an hour apart, because I lived in a small and peaceful township while Vladimir was situated on a beautiful Mountain top away from the life of the city. I had forbidden her to drive here so now I have to go and visit her so that she may see that no limbs are permanently broken.
“May I just say that you seem to be in a jolly mood today!” Tremaine commented as the elevator opened downstairs for us to leave the house.
“You are right Mr Tremaine, I am going to see my mother and that is always a thing to be jolly about!” I said smiling at him.
Rowen was coming with me today since she will be fully working with me now. Vladimir had started to prepare me an In-house office which she has already started to get into use. She has managed to decorate it in the way I had instructed as well as connected my work computer to the one in the office. She is extremely efficient, probably the reason why Vladimir hired her. At least he wasn’t selfish enough to get me a bad one.
“Do you think I will get the time to go to the office after that?” Rowen asked taking note of every detail.
“You should probably leave your day free, it’s going to take some time and effort for my mother to give me all her information. Plus I will first have fun with her before I get any depressing news.” I honestly informed.
We were now twenty-six minutes into the road and I was busy collecting my thoughts allowing the scenery outside my window to allure me. Today was going to be a nerve-wracking day, I had to speak with my mother about changing doctors and so forth, it’s not going to sit well with her but it will have to be done.
Lililth is coming home tomorrow which means I will have to come back again hopefully by the end of the week. It would be a good thing at least I would have gotten the chance to speak with Vladimir about his recommendations for a prominent doctor. My mother has what is called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia which spreads all over the body due to white blood cells known as Lymphocytes.
Vladimir has already requested for me to obtain a Haematologist oncologist which is a doctor who specialises in treating cancer of the blood cells. We will be making an appointment with him so that we may receive more information from the doctor himself.
