CHAPTER 1

The human mind is truly the scariest of all.

It's a place of many emotions; too many emotions. These emotions can cause many things when perceived wrong. So many could be harmed, injured, or they could die.

The human mind is different from any other. The plants, the animals, the minerals, everything is alive, but none are like humans. But, the every individual has a different mind set than the other.

Some might be what we consider "sane" or "insane." However, can we really choose who has sanity and who doesn't? Maybe it's the other way around, maybe society is wrong.

After all, who we and others claim to be, is just based of of perspective. Right?

I heaved a deep sigh before finally walking out of the building, I looked up in the sky and saw its cloudy, I could think it will rain in any minutes now. I sighed one more because I don't have any umbrella with me now.

I shake my head. "For now wala pa. How about you any cases for you to defend?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes. "I got one, and guess what?" She groan at the end of her words.

I stopped and looked at her. "What?" I replied.

"It's a murder case, The girl got rape before she was murdered." She explained disgust was on her voice.

"Oh, suspects?"

She wetted her lower lip. "The evidence we gather seems suspicious, you know." She said thinking very deeply.

My forehead creased. "Why?"

Humarap s'ya sa'kin. "The evidence is all straight forward to the girl's boyfriend, isn't that kinda suspicious though?" She replied with small voice.

I inclined my head. "Suspicious, perhaps we can do our own investigation?" I offered.

She clapped her hands. "Yes! I know you would help me." She winked.

"Do you want some coffee, Agent Svetha?" He asked nicely.

I shake my head, "No, Mr. Hicks but thank you for asking, I'm good." I replied politely.

Tumango naman ang matanda saka ako naglakad papunta sa office ko, Ang sunod naman n'yang tinanong ay si Khaleesi, Mr. Hicks is a good man, Palagi n'ya kaming inaasikaso kapag kararating lang namin, pag lunch, break time, Kapag may mga meeting din ay pinag sisilbihan n'ya kami, he treats us like his childrens.

Ngumiti si Khaleesi at tumango. Nang makaalis si Mr. Hicks ay saka ako pumasok sa loob ng opisina ko, tinangal ko ang caot ko saka sinampay sa metal coat stand, Nilagay ko rin ang payong sa metal box sa may gilid.
