CHAPTER 23

With Atreus Ludvik Safronov hand's intertwined with me we escape the mansion, exited it together, it looks like Atreus memorized the route because we're perfectly going outside, we reached a Tesla brand car, He opened the passengers seat for me, and I slid in, he helped me lifted the hem of my dress inside the car.

He opened the driver's seat and went inside, but he didn't start the car instead he opened the window of it, we watched the mansion being eaten by the fire, everyone was trying their best to stay alive and exit while panicking, there's still no police even fire trucks, it was well planned by the man beside me.

"Do you like it?" He asked, adjusting his neck tie.

"That's dangerous, Innocent people can be killed." I muttered, still staring at the mansion.

"A mere price, you say?" He backfired.

I cannot deny the satisfaction, I am feeling right now, Atreus Ludvik Safronov said was right, in every actions I will create there would be a price to pay back.

Atreus started the car as I averted my eyes to the window to the front road, I don't know where we're going but I think I am tired, this feeling of exhaustion not because I am working, but it's a deep feeling from my grudge.

Hinawakan ko ang ankle ko ng bigla itong humapdi, naramdaman ko ang saglit na pag sulyap sa'kin ni Atreus at saka pinark ang kanyang sasakyan sa gilid ng kalsada, tumingin s'ya sa'kin.

"Is your feet alright?" He asked with gentle tone.

I shake my head. "I think so, where are we going?"

He didn't look at me, his attention is on my feet as he answered. "To my penthouse."

"Pardon?" I repeated, but he didn't answered.

Bumaba s'ya ng sasakyan saka umikot papunta sa'kin, binuksan n'ya ang pinto na nasa gilid ko, kumunot ang noo ko sa ginawa n'ya, saglit n'ya lamang akong tinignan saka yumuko hinawakan n'ya ang paa ko, tinangal ang strap nito saka tinignan ang sugat ko sa gilid, binasa n'ya ang kanyang pang ibabang labi bago tinangal ang isa pang pares ng sandal na suot ko.

"Wait for me here," hinawakan ko ang sleeve n'ya bago pa s'ya makaalis.

Humarap s'ya sa'kin bumaba ang tingin n'ya sa daliri ko na nasa sleeve n'ya.

"Where are you going?" Tanong ko.

He looked at me. "I'm going to buy medicines for your feet, just wait for me here," Malumanay ang boses n'ya.

I tilted my head and let go of his sleeve.

"Oh okay." I replied, tumango s'ya saka umalis.

Nagantay lamang ako ng ilang minuto, nakarating din agad s'ya pabalik, dala ang isang supot ng gamot, pumasok s'ya sa driver's seat, sinara n'ya rin ang pinto sa tabi ko bago humarap sa'kin, inangat n'ya ang isa kong paa.

Nang akmang mag rereklamo ako ay hinigpitan n'ya ng kaunti ang hawak n'ya sa paa ko.

"Stay still," he said with serious tone. "I thought you wouldn't come." He started.

"Why do you think so?"

He stayed silent while assisting my feet, it took him minutes before he answered.

He smiled. "It's nothing."

He looked up. "You look very beautiful tonight," he suddenly complimented, his voice sounded manly, and gentle, it's not the usual Atreus who jokes around.

"Am I?" I repeated, teasing him just a little.

He closed our gap and put his hand on my face, he lifted and removed the mask I forgot I am wearing, he gathered small amount of my hair and brought it to his face, he inhaled it, smelling the scent of it, closing his eyes for a little.
