Weeks have already passed since they've entered the target university but they still haven't received a message from the Luminar.

It's very unusual. Hindi nadedelay ang mensahe ng mga nasa taas. Something must've been blocking them.

Zean tsked and threw the cigarette she was holding. Kinuha nito ang telepono tsaka tinawagan ang isang pamilyar na numero.

It took a full ten seconds before the other line picked up the call. "Avez-vous des nouvelles récentes?" Any update? Kaagad na tanong nya.

The man on the other line took a deep breath, "J'ai quelque chose. Mais ce n'est pas une bonne nouvelle." I have something. But it's not a good one.

Zean held the cigarette tightly before puffing out the smoke silently. Hindi na lamang sya sumagot at naghintay nalang sa ano pa ang sasabihin ng lalaki sa kabilang linya.

"Je suis allé à l'adresse que vous avez fournie." I went to the address that you gave.

"Hmm?" Zean hummed, "Did you managed to get in?"

"Oui, Miss." anang lalaki sa kabilang linya. "J'ai fait semblant d'être un policier et j'ai demandé à un ami de me fabriquer de faux documents et un insigne. C'est ainsi que j'ai pu passer à travers leur sécurité." I pretended to be a police man and asked my friend to make me a fake documents and a badge. That's how I get pass through their security.

Zean's lips tugged up slightly, showing a small smirk forming from her lips. Good.

"Tell me what you know. Hindi mahaba ang oras ko." ani ni Zean. The man on the other line speaks french, but he can understand tagalog. He's been working under Zean secretly for the past three years.

It was a secret that not even the organization knows about it. Not even Rin herself. Not Aina, or Kleez. But she was desperate to know the truth. Kaya naman palihim syang nakipag-ugnayan sa kabilang organisasyon para makuha ang gusto nya. Not even the hackers on the Ciliex know about this. That's how careful she was.

Zean heard the man sighed, "Je suis allé à l'orphelinat que vous avez indiqué et j'ai demandé les images des caméras de surveillance autour de la zone ce jour-là, mais... ils disent qu'il n'y en a pas." I went to the orphanage that you gave and asked for the CCTV footages around the area that day but.... they're saying that there's none.

Kaagad na nagsalubong ang dalawang kilay ni Zean sa narinig, "What do you mean?"

"Il semble que quelqu'un s'en soit déjà occupé." It looks like someone took care of it already.

Zean's face darkened, "Who?" mahina pero may galit na sabi nito na nakapagpataas ng balahibo ng lalaki sa kabilang linya.

"I don't know yet but I'll investigate, Miss."

Huminga ito ng malalim at mariing napapikit, "Did you double check?" tanong nito, nagbabakasakali na nalagay lang sa ibang file ang hinahanap nito.

"Oui... J'ai demandé qu'ils vérifient à nouveau. Malheureusement, il n'y a jamais eu d'enregistrement des images de ce jour-là. C'est suspect." Yes...I asked them to check it again. But, unfortunately, there was never a record of footages of that day. It's suspicious.

Nakuyom ni Zean ang sariling kamao dahil sa narinig. "Find them. Hanapin mo ang nagbura o ang kumuha ng ebidensya. Pagkatapos, dalhin mo sa'kin."

Ilang segundo na munang natahimik ang nasa kabilang linya bago ito tuluyang nagsalita ulit. "What are you going to do Miss? Are you going for a kill?"
