MATTHEW SAT on the grass field along with Timothy and Denvee. Kakatapos lang ng ensayo nila kaya naman nagpapahinga ang tatlo sa field.

It's been a week since Zean have been discharged from the hospital. And it's also been a week since he last saw her. The school gave them a break to recover from what Ina did to them kaya naman excuse ang apat sa klase.

Matthew looked at Timothy, "Bakit daw absent si Ferrer?" tanong nito, "Hindi naman sya kasama sa excuse ah?"

Everyone thought that the four have been resting and Keave is just somewhere, having fun with his absences. But no. Puwera kay Timothy, lingid sa kaalaman ng dalawa na nasa headquartes ang lima at naghahanda para sa paparating na misyon nila. But of course, Timothy is not allowed to speak the truth so he just shook his head,

"Ah. Hindi ko alam."

Matthew just nodded in response before looking back at the green grass in front of him. Wala sa sariling napatulala sya habang pinapakiramdaman ang sarili. For the past few days, he hasn't been feeling those intense heartbeats. Maybe because he hasn't seen Zean for almost a week now.

He let out a silent sigh, tama nga si Duke. Baka infatuation lang.

"They need to be present tomorrow. May announcement daw." biglang sabi ni Den kaya napabaling sya sa kanila. "I think it's about the upcoming U-vent Clash."

Timothy nodded, "Sasabihin ko sa kanila mamaya."

Napatitig si Matthew sa pinsan, "Mamaya?"

"Oo. Pupunta naman ako sa kanila mamaya."

"And why is that?" nakataas ang kilay na tanong naman ni Denvee.

"Tch. Nagpapatutor nga ako diba? Tsaka may bago silang ituturo sa akin mamaya." sagot nito.

Nalukot ang mukha ni Matthew sa narinig. "Ituturo? Eh absent nga 'yon ano ang ituturo nila sa'yo?"

"Sus amin nalang 'yon papa Matt. Huwag mo nalang alamin." Pinukol nya ng masamang tingin ang dalawa, "Mga chismoso."

Napangiwi na lamang ang dalawa sa tinuran ni Timothy at kapagkuwan ay napailing. Hindi na lamang pa nila ito tinanong at nagsimula na lamang silang mag-usap ng kung ano-ano.

They were in the middle of a talk when he received a text message from his mother,

From: Mom

Baby, come home early. I have a surprise for you! Magugustuhan mo ito.

A sweet smile appeared on his lips as he read the message that his mother sent. Even though Matthew is already an adult, his mother would still treat him as a baby. He smiled before putting his phone back again to his pocket.

"Hey." Anang Denvee kaya napabaling sila rito, "Hank texted, the bathroom is now free."

Napatango ang dalawa sa sinabi nito at kagaad na tumayo. When they arrived there, all three of them went inside to take a bath and Matthew was the first one to finish kaya naman nasa bench sya na nasa unahan lang at hinihintay ang mga kasama na matapos.

He looked at his wristwatch , 4:39PM. He let out a deep sigh before leaning back to his seat. His been sitting there for almost ten minutes now but none of his team have come out yet. "Kung makakilos parang babae eh.." bulong ni Matthew sa sarili.

"Boi pikit."

Matthew's eyes went wide and he was frozen on his seat when he heard that familiar voice. At that exact moment, the familiar loud beating of his heart came back. It was beating so loudly that Matthew thought his heart is begging to come out from his ribcage.
