Sour But Sweet

Chapter 36

In a few months I won't be able to dance due to the size of my stomach. I'll enjoy dancing while I still can. I can't help but look into his eyes and feel safe. Right now I feel safe, not a single bit of fear. This moment won't last forever but I wish it could. A pit in my stomach sits with the feeling as if all the bliss will be taken away in a matter of days. I'm just paranoid, right?

We left the party after a few hours due to me falling asleep in a chair. I had been carried into my room and I had been changed into my pjs. I didn't care that I was changed by someone else's hand as I'm exhausted. Klaus had slipped in beside me in my bed which made it feel complete. I really am in love with him.

I woke the next morning not to feel morning sickness. This is the first time in weeks where I haven't been hurling. Instead I'm jumping up and down even being pregnant in excitement. "Love, come back to bed it's only 9 in the morning, plus I have a headache" Klaus begging me to come back to bed is a change. "Too much to drink last night, huh" I sarcastically joke knowing I shouldn't have said that. Before I can even blink once more I'm gently tossed back to the bed by his hand. "You know Elena, you really should watch that mouth of yours," the flirt in his voice makes me squirm. "Make me" I flirt back. His lips come smashing down on mine as he takes control. He kissed me from my mouth down, his hands trailing with him. I hadn't felt any of this in months. My senses were more heightened making the trails of his hand make me laugh. I throw off my shirt as does he. "Klaus" I moan, wanting more. "I have been waiting for this for too long" he moans and works his magic.

I managed to move to have a shower and get dressed even though I was sore. I'm finding out the gender of my baby today! I'm having a girl or a boy! Everything felt positive and just good. "Hurry up" I shout for the fifth time at Klaus who is in his doing something that isn't as important as finding out the gender of our baby! Finally after five calls he comes out of his room and by my side. "Love if you keep moving the way you are the baby is going to come sooner then it must '' god he is such a buzz kill. "Well if you wouldn't have taken so long in your room then I wouldn't be harping on you" I try not sound mad but it happens. "After you" Klaus gestures towards the door. No hesitation I bolt out of the door pulling Klaus along with me.

I couldn't help but feel nervous about finding the gender of my child. I just have to lay down and let Davina do the spell. Klaus is standing beside me and yet I'm still shaking. "I was excited, now I'm freaking out. God I'm hungry" I'm rambling. Rambling in the one moment I should be quiet. I stand up from laying down and start pacing. "Elena there is nothing to be nervous about and the hungry part I do have a blood bag just in case you freaked out" Davina is an angel she brought blood for me. I take the blood bag from her hand and quickly drink it to take away the rambling. "Okay that helps but why am I still acting like a crazy person on drugs. Drugs they're a very bad thing, I remember when" Before I can continue rambling Klaus places his hands on my shoulders which brings me back to earth. "Elena if it makes you feel any better we can try this again in a month's time" Davina suggests. "No I'm just being an over emotional freak" I try to stop pacing and sit back on the bed. "Okay so a simple spell and then we will know, okay" I more calmly say laying down. I close my eyes so then I try to focus on being more calm.

"I'm honoured to tell you that you're having a girl" I'm having a girl Davina announces. The happy tears start pouring out of my eyes. "OMG I'M HAVING A DAUGHTER" I get off the bed and give Klaus a hug and then Davina. "Congratulations" Davina says to Klaus and I. "Well at least you know you're not having a mini me of a boy" I can't stop jumping up and down. "Klaus you're going to have a daughter, you can teach her to paint and history" I babble on. "Let's celebrate," I cheer.

The Celebration was off course little but I found a way to celebrate. I got a balloon filled with pink confetti so we can tell the others plus I want to Facetime all my family from Mystic Falls to tell them at the same time. Two bottles of wine to pop, heaps of food and extra food for me.

"Come on spill we want to know" Rebekah harps as soon as we walk in the door. I set up the facetime with the gang back home that Klaus organised for me. I place the balloon in the center of the room and wait for everyone to gather. "OMG Elena we're so excited for the big reveal" Caroline yells forgetting that we can still hear her on the other end of the screen. "In this balloon is the gender of the baby, countdown on three" I declare. The whole family counts down from three and I wait. "3!" on three I poke the pin in the balloon and the many shades of pink burst out everywhere. "CONGRATULATIONS! IT'S A GIRL" they all shriek. Elijah pops the wine and pours glasses. "Do we have a name picked out yet?" Bonnie asks. Look over to Klaus wondering if we should say the name. Klaus gives me the approval to announce. "Faith Jenna Mikaelson" I tell them all. Jeremy and Alaric's face has a beautiful smile on their faces. "Klaus heads up, having three girls in the house means more chaos over clothing and beauty" Damon jokes. "Yes well I'm well aware" Klaus and Damon talk through the screen as well as all of us. "Rebekah, I will be calling you about a baby shower today or tomorrow," Caroline arranges. "As much as we want to stick around we all now have some planning to do" Bonnie starts the goodbyes until they're all gone.

"I'm going to have a niece to teach her how to annoy her mum and dad" I shoot Kol with an evil look. "Or not" Kol finishes. Rebekah grabs me and starts jumping up and down. "Now that we know the gender I will start organising the necessary" Rebekah takes her brothers out of the house leaving it to me and Klaus. "Can you read" "Can you read to me and the baby?" I question sounding nervous. Klaus takes me by the hand and leads me into the library.
