Three months.

Three months ago, Theo and Benedict left.

Three months ago, I was left alone in Nott manor.

Not a word.

Not a trace.

Nothing.

The first week or two were hard, I had to figure out what to do with my days. So, I came up with a routine. I'd wake up, shower, get ready, you know? The usual stuff. I'd make breakfast, then I'd work on spells and potions until lunch. I'd eat, then I'd do some training in the forrest for a few hours and then I'd then spend the evening in the library and make dinner.

I had to stop myself from leaving the manor often, I decided i'd go out to the pub about three nights a week.

Everything was rough in the beginning, I had just lost someone, then gained someone else, then lost them. I had nothing, I figured I had to find something to help coupe. So, on my birthday, I got my first tattoo. The guys at the pub told me they were supposed to hurt like hell, though it was nothing compared to pain I'd felt before.

The first tattoo I got were three small dragons I had drawn, they were placed on the left side of my rib cage. I'm quite fond of them really. I loved them so much, I decided to get something else, the next tattoo I got was a snake that wrapped around my right forearm, then the moon phases across my left clavicle. Small words are scattered over my body, words with meaning, mostly in French.

I had just come back to the manor after getting my most recent tattoo, it was a thesral. Tommy, the man to did the tattoos, wondered how I had come up with such a creature. I dove away from the answer and just allowed him to continue with his work. A beautiful thesral now sits on the side of my right thigh, I loved it.

"Shit, I'm gonna be late for work." I sighed to myself as I looked at the time.

Joshua was kind enough to give me a job as a waitress at the pub, I worked two to three times a week from 5pm-3am. I know it seems like insanely long hours, but I loved it. The people in the village treated me as if I had always been there, most of my friends were in their mid thirties, early forties.

I quickly got changed into my white button up and black skirt before almost running out of the manor, luckily, I hadn't changed my appearance back, so I left the manor with my blonde hair and brown eyes.

"Hey Joshua." I said as I hurried into the pub.

"You know your five minutes late Emily." He smirked.

"Yeah, I know." I huffed as I quickly put on my black waist apron.

"Ayy! Emily's here!" Terry yelled out to the bar.

I smiled as everyone cheered and laughed. I didn't hesitate to wonder around the room to get orders. The pub always smelt the same, alcohol, sweat and smoke. Most people wondered where Theo went, I just told them he and his dad went on a trip.

"What about that bloke there?" Oliver pointed to someone as I was cleaning glasses.

"No thank you." I laughed as I spotted the guy the pointed at, he looked to be in his mid twenties.

"Aww why not? You're really picky." Terry huffed.

"I don't do redheads." I told them simply.

"Come on Emily, you can't go your whole life without someone." Dan told me.

"Yes I can, and I plan to." I smirked.

"Yeah, we'll see about that." He laughed in response.

"Okay boys, another round?" I smiled as I poured the three another pint each.
