I kept my eyes closed once I woke up, I wanted to savour the memories of what happened last night. Because I knew, I knew, he wouldn't feel the same. And that was okay. Once I had come to terms with that, I allowed myself to open my eyes.
I was still held in his arms, his chest still moved, he looked as peaceful as ever. Scars decorated his torso, scars similar to mine. I couldn't let myself get attached to anything, so I carefully pulled myself out of his arms, trying not to wake him. If anything, I would be the one to leave, not him.
I got used to the pain from last night as I hobbled around my room. I couldn't help myself when I saw his shirt placed neatly with his pants. I put it over my naked body along with some underwear, I grabbed my pack of cigarettes along with my book and made my way quietly down to the library.
I sat on the long green velvet couch in the library, I tucked my right knee up to my chest while my other leg hung off the edge. I focused a small flame on my thumb and lit a cigarette before I admired how peaceful the library was. It was larger than three sitting rooms, with a spiral staircase which lead to a mezzanine floor. It truly was gorgeous.
I sat in that same position for merlin knows how long. I was half way through my third cigarette when I heard the floor boards creak, my head instantly snapped to where the sound came from.
"You know that that's my shirt Fawn?" Draco smirked.
"Yeah, but it looks better on me anyway." I cocked a brow.
"Can't argue with that." He shrugged and sat next to me on my left.
"Why are you still here?" The question slipped from my lips.
"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked nonchalantly.
"We literally despise each other Draco Malfoy." I laughed.
"Well, after the events of last night, I despise you less." He crossed his arms and leaned back.
I took another long drag and continued to read my book.
"So, you enjoying your Christmas gift?" He asked.
"Huh?
He nodded to the book in my hand.
"You got me this?" I asked, holding up the mysterious Romeo and Bella.
He nodded and leaned further back into the couch.
"Now I feel bad, I only got you a badge that says 'asshole' on it." I laughed.
"I still wear it every day." He shrugged.
I narrowed my eyes and tilted my head in confusion. I didn't think he'd actually wear the thing, I had never seen it on him at school, I just assumed he threw it out.
He laughed slightly and opened one side of the coat he was wearing, showing me the inside. There it was, the green and silver badge with the word 'asshole' written in the middle. I couldn't help but smile a little, but then I also couldn't help but think about why he was all of a sudden being nice to me.
"Tea or coffee?" I asked, nudging the thought from my head.
"Coffee."
"Black?" I guessed.
"How'd you know?" His smirk grew.
"Just had a feeling." I laughed, "Come on." I guided him towards the kitchen.
I put the kettle on for my tea and began making his coffee. He sat on one of the stools at the island bench, watching as I moved around the kitchen.
"Breakfast?" I asked with my back to him, pouring the hot water into my mug.
"Huh?"
"What do you want for breakfast dummy?" I laughed.
