Chapter seven: reunion

The campers other then Darius, Brooklynn, and Kenji talked about what they did during the time they spent apart from one another. "So you actually managed to kill an Indoraptor just with your fists and anti hybrid missiles?" Sammy asked in shock as Ben told a story on how he had killed an Indoraptor with his fists and the chest cannons.

"Yeah everyone was really stunned that I did, but I left before they could thank me for saving them." Ben said leaning back into the back of the couch.

"Hey guys you might want to look at this." Brooklynn said as she turned on the TV and it showed a news report of a familiar Acrocanthosaurus running down a street while being chased by a helicopter.

"It can't be him." Kenji said looking at the news broadcast as the Acrocanthosaurus ran into an outside movie theatre and roared at the people watching from their cars.

"Dino squad. Let's rock and roll." Brooklynn said and everyone looked at her confused. "My dad always made a battle cry before he went into battle. So I thought I would do one." Brooklynn said and Ben facepalmed in annoyance.

"Let's just go." Kenji said and they moved out to the out door theatre. When they got there Ben walked past the people who were running as the Acrocanthosaurus roared in front of the screen.

"Hey ugly, people want to watch the movie ya know." Ben shouted at the Acrocanthosaurus which just roared at him and Ben sighed and then activated his sting blades.

The Acrocanthosaurus then charged at Ben after looking at the sting blades and Ben got into a fighting stance. "Come get me you bastard." Ben snarled but the Acrocanthosaurus skidded to a halt as Brooklynn stood between Ben and the Acrocanthosaurus and she took off her helmet.

"Hey dad." Brooklynn said to the Acrocanthosaurus which snarled softly in reply and she gently touched the therapod on the snout. Brooklynn noticed the scars that covered the therapod's body and face.

'Brooklynn?' A familiar voice asked and Brooklynn just hugged the Acrocanthosaurus on the face and Ben deactivated his sting blades however he then activated his plasma prongs and shot a tranquillizer dart out of the air.

Jake's head then snapped up towards the helicopter and he snarled seeing the Mantah Corp logo on the side of the helicopter as the gunner swapped out his tranquilizer rifle for a Gatling gun. Jake's eyes widened in fear as the Gatling gun then began to fire at him and in response Jake shifted back to his human form and tackled Brooklynn to the ground shielding her with his body. "Hey you bastards!" Ben yelled as he activated the anti kaiju missiles and then target locked them onto the helicopter.

The missiles bombarded the tail of the helicopter and it spun out of control and crashed. Ben walked towards the wreckage and walked into it. When Ben emerged out of the wreckage he was dragging a man by the arm. "Alright start talking." Ben said throwing the guy down.

"I ain't telling you shit." The man said glaring at Ben.

"I suggest that you do." Ben snarled with a strangely calm voice as Jake walked up in his Acrocanthosaurus form snarling softly.

"We were sent by a scientist to tranquillize Jake after his primordial ooze signature appeared on the map, but the doc also said that if Jake couldn't be tranquilized just to kill him." The mercenary said to Ben and Jake just smirked to himself knowing that he could still scare people.

"Thank you." Ben said as he put stasis cuffs on the mercenary's wrists.

"Also the doc said that if the helicopter is shot down that he'll send backup." The mercenary said as a roar was heard. Kenji and the others froze in place as an eighteen foot tall human and Tyrannosaurus hybrid stomped towards them.

"What the hell is that?" Kenji asked taking a step backwards as the monstrosity roared into the sky. Jake shifted into his human form and put up his fists ready to fight but Brooklynn put her hand in front of her father as she activated her swords.
