Chapter nineteen: reunition

Yasmina carried Sammy in her arms whilst Ben led from the front with Joshua watching the rear as they walked. "How much longer?" Yasmina asked and Ben just said in reply.

"If my scanners would work properly then I would've been able to find Brooklynn's primordial ooze signature." Ben however stopped moving as he looked to his right and then slid down the hill.

"Where is he going?" Sammy asked and she then noticed Darius laying in the sand with a gash mark on his chest.

"Darius?" Ben asked looking at his friend who had his eyes closed. "No, no, no." Ben said looking at Darius and he hugged him tightly.

"Ben you're cutting off my air circulation." Darius said weakly and Ben released his hug on Darius.

"What happened?" Ben then asked and Darius then said.

"Brooklynn just turned on me and slashed me on the chest with her claws and then kneed me in the face and I blacked out." Darius said rubbing his sore jaw.

"Why would she do that?" Ben asked and Darius didn't know the answer.

"Her eyes however were glowing red like that of Sketchy's when he is in his Indominus form." Darius said and Ben couldn't think of an answer.

"Where's Kenji?" Ben asked and Ben was answered by Kenji then saying.

"Ben where are the others?" Ben then stood up to face Kenji just as Yasmina walked up with Sammy in her arms and Joshua followed.

"We're right here dingus." Yasmina said and Kenji just stared at her unimpressed as she used his old nickname.

"Why do you guys have a Tyrannosaurus rex with you?" Kenji asked and Yasmina looked at Joshua who was busy looking at the sky intently.

"That's Joshua." Yasmina stated as Joshua picked up a pebble in his jaws and then tossed it into the sky however it seemingly bounced off something and then fell to the ground.

"Josh what are you doing?" Sammy asked softly looking at the Tyrannosaurus who just growled softly in response.

"Now we just need to find were Brooklynn is." Ben stated and Darius looked at Joshua and got an idea. He pulled out a piece of Brooklynn's jacket and Joshua sniffed it.

"Find her Joshua, find her." Darius said to the male Tyrannosaurus and the campers climbed onto his back as he let out a short roar and then charged off to go find Brooklynn.

Meanwhile Jake sighed as he sat in the main room with several heat packs on his body and several blankets on his back. He had to unintentionally go for a swim in the freezing water of the Arctic.

Sketchy had given him the nickname of Jake-icle as he said Jake would've froze up like a popsicle if he wasn't warmed up. "So Jake-icle how do you feel?" Sketchy asked Jake and he glared at his cousin.

"Warmer." Jake said bluntly as he was starting to warm up, Sketchy then placed another heating pad on Jake's head and he stared at Sketchy unimpressed.

Back with the campers Joshua stomped off at random going to check something while Sammy patched up Darius' injuries and the sun began to set. "This time we all huddle up next to each other." Ben said and the campers were basically squished up against each other as they slept. The terrain then started to change from desert to rainforest.
