Chapter eighteen: dangerous herbivore

Ben ducked under the claws of a Therizinosaurus which screeched as it him. Ben then jumped out of the way of another attempt by the Therizinosaurus to slash him. "Sorry Therizinosaurus." Ben said as he activated his anti hybrid missiles and they prepared to fire at the therapod but electricity ripped through the Jaeger suits systems and Ben yelled in pain and agony as the Jaeger suit's visor went dark and the anti kaiju missiles deactivated.

"No." Sammy said putting a hand to her mouth as the Theriziosaurus flicked Ben over onto his back and he didn't move. Joshua charged at the Therizinosaurus and then clamped his jaws onto it's shoulder and applied pressure breaking it.

The therizinosaurus screeched in pain as Joshua them clamped his jaws onto the Therizinosaurus' neck and snapped it in his jaws. Joshua released his hold on the herbivores neck and then looked over at Yasmina and Sammy who were busy trying to take Ben's helmet off.

"Ben do you hear me?! Ben!" Yasmina said shaking Ben and she took off his helmet and looked at him. Ben's eyes were closed and he didn't respond.

"You should do the true loves kiss thing from those fairy tails." Sammy suggested and Yasmina swore she saw Ben smirk for a second.

"If I have to kiss him I'm going to break his arm." Yasmina said darkly looking at her unconscious friend and she just twisted his arm.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Okay, okay I'm not dead." Ben hissed and Yasmina let go of his arm which he held close to his chest.

"See he was faking it." Yasmina said to Sammy and Ben glared at Yasmina.

"Sometime I'm going to do that to you and see how you like it." Ben growled as he grabbed his helmet and put it on his head.

Meanwhile Jake got into the Brawler Yukon Jaeger suit and it powered up, Jake then stepped off the platform as he took the mark one for a spin. "Let's run a diagnostics check first." Kix's voice came over the comm unit and Jake just chuckled.

"Alright start it up." Kix looked at Sketchy who just nodded.

"Alright Jake fire up the weapon systems." Sketchy said and Jake first activated the arm swords which flicked out from their resting position. "Now the ranged weapons." Sketchy said and Jake then activated the double barrelled cannons. Which looked similar to Titan Redeemer's, Jake then fired them at the target set up and then activated the hell fire missiles which completely obliterated the target.

"Alright the Jaeger suit is strong and steady, but I think it's time to put it back into it's hanger bay." Kix said and Jake began to slowly walk towards the hanger bay for Brawler Yukon.

"I see you're testing the oldest Jaeger suit we have." A voice said. Kix and Sketchy turned to face the speaker and were dumbfounded.

"Captain Rex!" Kix exclaimed and saluted the clone captain almost immediately.

"At ease Kix, where's the general?" Rex asked and that's when Jake showed up.

"I'm right here." Jake said and Rex turned to face him.

"General I know that this is Kenji Kon's penthouse and that the campers are living here, but where are they at the moment?" Rex asked and Jake sighed.

"They were taken by someone, we're trying to find out who. However they did use mechanical canine like machines." Jake said and Rex sighed in annoyance.

"Mantah Corp, it just had to be Mantah Corp couldn't it?" Rex said in reply and Jake was confused.

"To put it into context Mantah Corp went after the campers for unknown reasons but we could only guess they were after the Primordial ooze in Yasmina and Brooklynn's DNA. They must be trying to do that again." Rex said and Jake clenched his hand into a fist.

"Where's their facility?" Jake asked anger in his voice and Rex then said.

"The Arctic." Jake then ordered for everyone to get ready for a trip to the Arctic.
