Ben sat in his medical room for five days on end with basically nothing to do for those five days, he was either resting up or teaching himself how to walk again usually with Yasmina or Kenji's help. He had a bad feeling that something horrible was going to happen but he couldn't describe what it was like. Ben got up out of his bed in the morning and started to walk on his own.
he nearly lost his balance twice but managed to finally walk more then five steps on his own without help from either Yasmina, Kenji, or Kix. Ben then heard Jake's voice. "I see you've fully recovered." Jake said and Ben turned to face him and saluted him.
"I have sure sir." Ben answered and Jake motioned for him to relax.
"Well you are tough as nails." Jake said complementing him. "I think you've got more scars then Brooklynn did." Jake continued.
"She had her scars removed, I kept mine." Ben corrected him and Jake raised and eyebrow not knowing that.
"I never knew that she did." Jake said as Ben noticed some of Jake's scars, he guessed some of them were from the battling Scourge along with other dinosaurs and hybrids.
"Yeah she felt like the scars made her look less beautiful and reminded her of when Sketchy was a bit messed up in the brain." Ben said recalling what Brooklynn had said to him a few years ago.
"If you don't mind me asking ranger Pincus, how did you get your scars?" Jake then asked and Ben took a deep breath before explaining.
"The scar on my wrist here was from when I burned my wrist by one of November's malfunctioning taser prongs." Ben said gesturing to the scar on his wrist. "The scar on my face I got when SN-19 slashed me with it's single clawed finger on the face." Ben said pointing to his face.
"Interesting." Jake said as he then added. "I mainly got mine from Scourge and Nemeses Jake but I think I have a few from an Atrociraptor pack that attacked me in Washington state."
"I heard of the ones made by Scourge and Nemesis Jake but I thought the Atrociraptors were only encountered in 2022." Ben said.
"Well I'm pretty sure from what I remember is that most of the Atrociraptors didn't make it out alive." Jake said in response. "My guess is that the ones seen in 2022 were just what was left of the original pack."
Ben just silently nodded in agreement with Jake's theory knowing that it was probably right. But then again Biosyn was as secretive as possible back when it still existed.
"Well I need to get back to LOCCENT before Cortana throws a fit that I'm not there." Jake said as he turned to leave. "Continue to rest and heal Ranger Pincus." Jake added on as he left the medical bay and Ben then decided to take a walk out of the medical bay.
People said "hello" and "welcome back" to him as he walked down the halls in the direction of Jaeger suit hanger bays.
Ben walked past Crimson typhoon, Tiger rush, Chronos berserker, and Storm Garuda's hanger bays as he then stopped in front of Striker eureka's hanger bay and noticed how much of the armour was still damaged.
The memory of him getting hit in the back by Derek's double barrelled fusion cannon flashed before his eyes briefly and he shook his head to get the memory out of his head and he looked away from the mark V armour.
Ben then continued to walk as he then passed by the hanger bays of Coyote tango, Marauder oblivion, Obsidian fury, and Valor omega. He noticed that they were all having maintenance carried out on them.
He then noticed November Ajax's J-tech team were also carrying out maintenance on the Jaeger suit with Kenji's instructions probably due to the fact that Kenji knew the Jaeger suit the best.
However Ben noticed the glint of a white light in front of the shatterdome as it drew everyone's attention to it.
