DIANA HAD FINALLY gotten the courage to open the book that was gifted to her a few days ago, taking in Aslan's words of the magic she held within herself. If she was able to summon magic, Diana wanted to practice from this day and on.

Diana tried on not focusing in Susan and Lucy, who were practicing their aim in the bullseye, and opened the leather covered book with care. Before they could disappear, Diana noticed the new words written over the cover of the book, spelling out the phrase: 'Liber Carminum'

Diana felt confused at the words, not knowing what they meant and why were they written into cover. She decided to move on, passing her fingers through the delicate paper of the pages and saw many other phrases in a language she didn't quite understand, but managed to read one that she could translate: 'spells'.

In curiosity and excitement to test one of the spells out, wanting to know which ones to use more frequently, she turned over to her sisters.

"Susan, would you come for a second, please?" Diana called.

Susan nodded and dropped her bow in the grass, walking up to the place where Diana was sitting, Lucy following behind.

"What's wrong?" asked Susan.

"Nothing. I just wanted to finally test some of the spells in this book," Diana said casually, looking down to the pages once again as her sisters stared at her with wide eyes.

"The book has spells?" Lucy asked in excitement.

"It's exciting, right? I just don't know how to use them," Diana said.

"And you want me to test them for you? I don't want to be turned into a frog!" exclaimed Susan.

Diana rolled her eyes at the dramatics. "You won't be turning into a frog, Susan."

Lucy chuckled and looked up to Diana, nodding in encouragement of practicing the spells. All Diana did was smile at her and raise her palms in Susan's direction.

Diana looked down at the page she had marked and read out the spell that had caught her eye: to freeze someone. So without thinking much of it, she turned back to Susan and pointed over at her.

"Duratus," muttered Diana under her breath.

Golden mist covered Diana's fingers, her palms glowing in a similar color as the mist wrapped itself like snakes around Susan's form before the young girl froze in her spot, not being able to move a muscle. It had worked.
