TIME went by as the sun set across the horizon, and the sailors spotted land not that long ago. The ship got closer to the shore of the island, searching for a place to disembark. Because of this, Drinian requested the oldest royals' presences, so Diana found herself between her brother Edmund and Caspian — who was looking through a spyglass.

"It looks uninhabited," Caspian stated, hands still up holding the artifact.

"But if the lords followed the mist East, that means they would have stopped here," Diana pointed the obvious, making her brother look at her in astonishment, to which she frowned.

"Could be a trap," Drinian informed.

"Or it could hold some answers," Edmund conspired, and looked back at his friend to see what he was going to say. "Caspian?"

Caspian lowered the spyglass and handed it back to Drinian. "We'll spend the night on shore, scour the island in the morning."

"Aye, Your Majesty."

After that, Caspian flashed a polite smile toward Diana and left down the stairs with Drinian following in his step, leaving the Pevensie siblings to their own. If Diana hadn't flickered her gaze downward after the gesture, she would've missed the slight resentment in Edmund's expression, one she was too used in seeing whenever Peter used to brag about his accomplishments.

Diana tried opening her mouth and say something about it but no sound came out; she wanted to at least try to pry him into telling her what was wrong like she used to do before, because Edmund wasn't one to admit his feelings that easily. But she thought otherwise. There were heavier things in hand, much more urgent than a silly conversation with her brother that could wait until they returned home.

So, Diana swallowed down her thoughts and walked down the same path Caspian and Drinian had left into, leaving her brother to his own thoughts.

The island was inhabited just like it was predicted, and Diana helped the crew members unload their belongings to stay the night at the beach. The area was covered in a soft sand, along with enormous rocks with strangely round form that provided some sort of protection out in the night. The moon was already claiming its spot in the darkening sky, so Drinian gave out the order to sleep and restore the energy for the morning.

Diana had placed her blankets besides Lucy's, and borrowed the book she had brought with her since her sister claimed it would ease down her nerves. Diana didn't think too much of it and did her best to find conformity in the sand, falling asleep with the moon glistening in the ocean.
