WHEN DIANA AND CASPIAN got back to Aslan's How, they noticed at the same time the level of Peter's injuries caused by the duel with Miraz. He was limping and wincing in pain every time he put pressure on the injured leg, and Edmund moved to his side to support him if he fell forward.

Diana caught Susan's worried eyes from her place in the rockslide with Trumpkin and the archers and she gave her a nod, confirming that their youngest sister was safe.

When Peter noticed that the two were back, he limped his way to them and Diana got to see the other bruises that weren't visible from afar. His hair was soaked from his own sweat and a bruise was formed in the side of his face.

"Lucy?" he asked immediately.

"She made it through, with some help," Diana replied to ease his worries.

"Thanks," Peter panted out of exhaustion, his eyes fixed on Caspian.

"Well, you were busy," Caspian shrugged.

Peter faced his older sister once again and groaned before the next phrase left his mouth. "You better join Susan up there. Just in case. I don't expect the Telmarines will keep their word."

Diana frowned. "I'm not leaving you out of my sight with you in that state. I'm the one who's supposed to take care of you."

She took a step towards her brother and gently embraced him in a hug while trying hard in not pressing on any of his injuries. Peter didn't have much strength to return the gesture, though he appreciated it, but winced nonetheless when she got close to him.

"Are you sure you don't want me to. . ." she moved her fingers to signal her magic, offering to heal his injuries and give him more energy.

"No, it's all right," Peter excused, not wanting to have the advantage. He wanted to play by the rules.

"Okay," Diana nodded and moved the blond and sweat-covered hair out of his forehead to press a kiss on his temple. "I want you to be careful."

He nodded in response and Edmund turned back go face the crowd behind them, who seemed extremely worried and were chattering among themselves.

"Keep smiling," he advised.

All Peter did was turn to face them and force a smile with his sword raised in the air, making the crowd yell and cheer before he sat back in the stool. Edmund, Caspian and Diana offered to help him in treating his bruises and re-do the armor.
