THE DAWN TREADER set sail into the uncharted waters once again, and the sailor's original mission was still afloat. They'd already found one of the seven lords of Telmar, and Caspian reassured they were on the right track to find the remaining six.

Night and day passed away like a person flicking over the pages of a book while being in the sea, but people on the ship disagreed with Diana's opinion. Edmund said he was slowly losing it by being surrounded by nothing more than the sea for two days straight, but his quiet complaints were easily stopped when he busied himself in cleaning the rust out of the sword. Diana and Lucy spent these hours entertaining themselves with either her spell book or sowing down the borrowed clothing the crew had given them to adjust it better to their figure.

The crew did their usual jobs and routines, some sharing jokes along the way and others talking amongst themselves over the loud noise the gushing wind made when it got stronger. The only one who didn't seem to be enjoying himself was cousin Eustace, who still hadn't gotten used to the idea of being stuck in the magical land with the people he despised the most.

Diana sat on the steps that led to the captain's quarters and was accompanied by Lucy, still sowing the edges of the clothing. Both girls sat in comfortable silence, and made Diana think back all those forgotten moments she used to spend like this with her and Susan; all three sisters just sitting around each other and enjoying the company. It was nostalgic for some reason.

"Di," Lucy called, her eyes squinting just a little because the sun was finally rising after being clouded. Her oldest sister looked back at her with a questioning glance, the brunette strands of hair that were sticking out of her braid blowing in the wind. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, Lu."

"Do you ever think about getting married?"

Diana was expecting the conversation to go anywhere but that direction. Her breath hitched and she had to clear her throat to regain her composure, and she was sure some of the men glanced her way because of how odd she had reacted.

"Why do you ask?" Diana gave the men that were looking at her a reassuring smile, and the sailors' worry for the queen vanished and they turned back to their duties.

"Well, I've certainly thought about it, but only for when I'm older," Lucy explained, hands playing with the hems of the cloths. "I'm sure you'd thought about it too. You've had a lot of suitors in these last years."

That last part was true. Before Peter and Susan left for America with mother and father, Helen Pevensie thought it was an outstanding idea to search for her eldest daughter's future husband. In her own words, she was getting older and there wouldn't be enough time left to get Diana married into a wealthy and well-known family. Many men were prepared to sweep Diana off her feet — some were nice, some were older, some were annoying — none of them were what she was looking for.
