"Why is she crying?" Clint asked the red-head as she sat down with a drink.
"Wouldn't you? She was thrown into a different world straight into battle, then she was captured and she probably realizes she's not going to see her loved ones for a long while. As far as she knows she is alone here." She answered.
"Jarvis what triggered her mood-change?" Tony asked the AI.
"Miss Leona was just rearranging her room and putting her cloak on the ottoman when it began sir."
"So it was either something she did with her room or the cloak." They concluded.
"She left her book here. Perhaps that has answers." James pointed at the book.
"Guys that's rude. That book is part of her private belongings. Leave it alone." Steve said.
"We know barely anything about her." Tony tried to defend himself as he went to grab the book.
"Give her time to adjust and she might share more. We are not snooping around." Pepper said taking the book away, and walking to Leona's room. She didn't look in it, feeling like she would've been invading Leona's privacy.
Jarvis let Pepper in, and she was surprised at the changes Leona had made. The room looked more natural now. Leona hadn't woken up from Pepper entering. Her grip on the cloak had loosened and Pepper threw it over the girl so it would act as a blanket while the girl slept. The blonde's face didn't show signs of sadness but Pepper was sure her eyes would be full of it. She left the book on the desk and left Leona alone.
The next day the team went about breakfast when Leona came down to join them. "Ah, there you are. How was your night?" Steve greeted the blonde.
"You already know. Mr Jarvis said you saw my breakdown yesterday. Miss Potts, thank you for returning my book to me." Leona answered.
"How did you know it was me?" Pepper asked the blonde.
"Your scent was on it although faintly." She answered.
"Can you tell us more about yourself?"
"There isn't much to tell really. At least not where it concerns you." Leona wasn't sure how much more she could tell these humans.
"Want to join me for training?" Steve asked.
"Sure. I have nothing better to do right now anyway. Oh are there ground-rules for me to follow?" Leona wanted to make sure she wouldn't break any as she had no desire to spend time in a cell.
"Talk to me after training. I'll have it thought over." Natasha answered. Leona nodded and followed Steve out to the training floor.

"Natasha said you were in the army." Mr Rogers began as we walked into the elevator.
"That's correct." I nodded watching the numbers go down.
"Where did you serve?" He asked.
"I served in the Middle-east. Made it up to Sergeant before I couldn't continue anymore."
"And you are only 24?""I was 23 when my term ended. I served for six years." I answered.
"So you were seventeen when you began? How did that happen?"
"A long story but to keep it short, an administrative mistake they didn't realize before seeing my potential and sending me out there. My family had given permission too."
"Impressive. Why did you join?"
"I wanted to make my family proud." He dropped it as we began. First we did a warming up before he wanted to spar.
"Let's begin." So we began sparring. He was a pretty strong fighter. I didn't have to hold back my strength as much as with normal humans. While mostly he seemed to use boxing, I think there were some other martial arts in the mix as well. I didn't lose but the spar wasn't an easy win for me either. How fascinating.
"You're pretty good. A challenge if I dare say so." He complimented as he dodged a punch.
"Thank you mr Rogers, I didn't have to hold back as much as I would do usually. It was an interesting experience." I returned the sentiment stepping aside to avoid a kick. Then I flipped him on his back and used more of my strength to keep him there.
"You were holding back?"
"Yes. Yesterday when your boss interrogated me, they wanted to see what I would do when a whole team would attack me. Mr Rumlow's team attacked me all at once. I knocked them out using my speed and strength but I had to remind myself that they were mere humans so I had to hold back with the strength I used." I explained.
"And if you hadn't?" He asked.
"They wouldn't be alive anymore." I answered with a shrug.
"Who taught you to control it so well?"
"Some of the best fighters of my kind. I don't lose strength if I don't train. My diet affects my abilities more than training does." I brought up my diet to not linger on the people that trained me.
"You mean blood?" He seemed a little weirded out about it.
"Yes, I could survive on animal blood but my gift is too powerful to keep in control of, if I were to drink from Bambi constantly. Human blood keeps me in control of my gift but also of my thirst for it. It's more fulfilling. And it tastes way better as it is my natural source of nourishment." I continued being honest.
"Well, I would love to see you fight without holding back. I'm sure it will be interesting."
"Depends on if cameras can catch it and if they can slow it down enough for human eyes to follow." We did a few more rounds of sparring until he'd had enough. After freshening up it was time for lunch.
"Oh Leona, please call me Steve. Mr Rogers is a bit too formal for my taste. I hope we can do this more often?" He asked.
"Of course, mr Steve. I look forward to beating you again." I joked.
"What is this, Rogers, she beat you?" Thor interrupted loudly.
"Yes, she did Thor. I bet you would have a tough time winning from her as well." Steve retorted.
"Please. A mighty god like me against a tiny girl like her? I would squash her." He laughed. I was shorter than either of them yes but that doesn't mean anything. Ask my mate. I kicked his ass during training plenty of times. and he is the same height as Thor. if not even a little taller.
"Maybe in your dreams." I sassed. I really was feeling a lot better after all that crying and this spar. I left them to find miss Natasha. Jarvis told me she was in Tony's lab. When I entered that lab, let's say I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Mr Tony's lab was more a workshop. But a big and advanced one. Especially compared to the ones I had seen in my world.
