Chapter 25

It took weeks for Dina and me to figure out a way to leave quietly. That damn Grandmaster kept bothering me. And Loki tried to make me leave it all to him. After those weeks the people of Sakaar had another contest to look forward to. Thor had been found by a scavenger who sold him like a gladiator. Good. In the distraction I tried to steal a spaceship but got caught and somehow I still escaped. With Thor, Banner, and the scavenger that found both before. She turned out to be a Valkyrie. A brave female warrior from Asgard. We had a rough trip to Asgard. "Leona, Banner, help our people. I will take care of Hela." Thor practically ordered like a leader he was meant to be. A ruler.

"I will help them first, before I come to help you." The Valkyrie, I wasn't sure of her name, said. "That bitch deserves a sword in the chest." Aside from the drinking she was interesting.

We separated and while Thor went to the palace, we went to this rainbow colored bridge. The people of Asgard were found there, stuck in between a giant wolf, and Hela's army. Something told me to deal with the wolf myself.

"Banner, go for the army first. I will deal with Fenris." I told the doctor.

"He is too strong for you." Perhaps as the half-vampire I was when we last fought together but not now.

"In the two years you were gone, I have grown stronger. Sacrificing one's human side does that." I replied and jumped. On purpose I fell into the water before quickly climbing up the bridge. Using the water I was soaked in, I created thousands of ice-needles and shot them deep into the wolf's fur. Then I chased the wolf and turned the water in its fur colder slowing it down when it turned to me.

"Stop this nonsense, Fenris. You are no pup anymore." My voice was deeper now without me doing so on purpose. It sounded commanding. Fenris growled and tried to bite me.

"ENOUGH!" I growled and the wolf stopped. "Down." I ordered. It didn't listen and I solidified the water in Fenris' fur and it dropped down with a yelp. The water droplets that had reached his skin probably felt extremely cold and sharp when they turned into ice.

"Stay down." I ordered, and approached the wolf. Once I was able to touch its cheek, Something made me feel a great deal of sadness for the wolf. He has always been a servant of Hela. Not quite a slave, but never free either. Much like how the wolves from La Push were never fully free until they gave up their purpose.

Suddenly the wolf moved its giant head nudging me to touch his forehead. I don't know how to explain it, but it felt like a bond of sorts was forged. 'True master.' A voice growled in my mind.

"You mean me?" I asked confused.

'yes. you must destroy my physical form as is. Then you may summon me whenever you need to. We must speak of this matter another time."

"I'm sorry for this." I turned Fenris' physical form to dust which got blown away by the wind. In the meantime, the Asgardians were all on board the escape ship. I joined them as did Thor, Banner, Loki and Valkyrie. Thor was recognized as king of the Asgardians and we went to earth.

While the Asgardians readjusted to their new situation, I meditated as taught by master Marcus to try and 'speak' to Fenris.

Fenris, how am I your true master?

When Hela created me, Odin spoke of my true purpose. I was made to serve the Wanderer, protector of the worlds' balance. Only the Wanderer would know to respect those that choose to serve them.

How do I summon you?

A summoning circle. Your power is strong enough to create it from your mind. We shall practice once you reach solid ground. Once you are capable of doing this without using much power, my children and I shall be your personal guards during battle. I believe humans would call us your familiars.

Thank you. That makes me feel less alone here.

After a few weeks of space travel, the hair on the back of my neck went up. I sensed a massive amount of power coming our way. "THOR!" I approached the new king. He was with Loki and they were staring at something.

"What is that" I asked.

"Thanos' ship." Loki answered

"Thanos, Who?" Was that a good guy?

"Giant purple titan who is after the infinity stones like the one that gave Wanda and Pietro their power." That didn't answer my question but the grim look on their faces told me enough.

"Your people can't be here when he comes. They won't survive. Quick." I was making plans already.

"What is the plan?" Thor asked.

"I need magic users for this. My energy isn't high enough yet." I answered

"For what?" He asked as I didn't explain anything.

"Transportation. I want to teleport your people to Earth as we are pretty close now." My answer was short but easy.

"Will this help? Loki procured a cube from somewhere.

"The Tesseract? That's why he's here." Thor exclaimed.

"That is one of those stones?" I asked.

"It's inside this box. This particular one is the space stone. It may help you." Loki explained.

"We'll see. Come." I drew a teleportation circle on the floor of the ship and activated it, by sitting in the middle with the tesseract in my hands as energy source. It was quite powerful and hard to keep in control while the Asgardian civilians all went through the portal. Once it was up to the soldiers, a big bang was heard. Not one of an attack, more one of someone boarding this spaceship.

"Be quick, I can't hold on much longer. I can sense some magic power coming closer and it is far more powerful than any of ours." I warned them.

Just when I sensed the power at the door to the outside and all my instincts told me to run, did Thor jump through the portal pulling me along. Doing so, the circle was deactivated as it lost its energy source.

Thanos was surprised to find the ship abandoned. The Black order searched everywhere with the army but it was all empty. "Master, look." Ebony Maw pointed at something.

"What is it?" The Titan looked where he pointed seeing strange patterns.

"A particular magic circle. She has come out to play." Thanos smirked enjoying his conquest even more now.

"Interesting. Find a way to deal with her." He ordered the sorcerer.

"Yes master." Ebony maw was excited too. if he could be the one to kill this new addition, he would forever be the one to have his father's favor.
