The Alchemist Journey of Power

Chapter 43

NoPoV

Everyone watched Leona snap to use the stones. Light and sparks came off as the overwhelming power seemed to try and burn her arm off. Hearing her scream in pain, Felix tried to go to her but Edward stopped him.

"Don't! She's using your strength to be able to survive the snap, you can't leave the circle." With an annoyed grunt Felix stopped moving.

"How did she make this work though? I thought Bella gave him the last stone!" Caius questioned.

"I didn't. It was a replica. Leona had replaced the real stone in that cube-thing and given it only a tiny bit of the same power so Thanos would be caught off guard. The real one was hidden in her cloak." Bella explained. 

They couldn't help but watch as the power of the six stones overtook Leona's body and ran all over her like electric currents. 

"They are speaking to her." Wanda spoke up.

"Who?" someone questioned.

"The stones. I don't know how but...no. Not the stones. Gaia. Gaia is speaking to her from wherever she resides. She wants Leona to return to her with the stones. She has given her an ultimatum. Either she does as ordered and she will be kept from harm, or she will have to lose everything to survive." the Scarlet Witch replied.

"She can't!" Three voices yelled. Peter, Alice and Dr Strange.

"If she does as told, Gaia gains power she isn't meant to have. She will use it for revenge and all that will cause will be chaos and darkness, ruining the balance between human and inhuman beings in every single realm." Strange explained.

"Emmett, Hulk, we need both. If we can add their strength somehow, she may be able to live without sacrifice." Aro suggested.

"We would need to link them to her as well though." Caius replied. No one knew how though.

"I see Gaia is causing trouble once more." A strong deep voice spoke. It was a seemingly middle-aged giant man with a big beard, wearing a sleeveless tunic and a cap on his head. He was wielding a warhammer.

"Who are you?" Aro questioned as everyone tensed up to attack the stranger if needed.

"I am not here as a threat to you, do not worry. I was sent by my father Zeus to stop Gaia's plan for revenge and take back the stolen child from my bloodline." He assured them.

"Leona? stolen?" The confusion was visible on everyone's faces.

The stranger nodded once in confirmation."Hm." Thinking back Aro remembered.

"The poem speaks of the Wanderer being stolen from fire and steel. If that is true, then you must be Hephaistos god of Blacksmiths, craftsmen and artisans. Yes?" He asked.

"Correct. You know of Gaia's purpose. However this was forced upon her as punishment. She felt entitled to use and abuse all the power my family has and became arrogant merely because she is considered the mother of all. Out of anger she stole the one child I had been able to conceive out of love, claiming it was my punishment for trying to sleep with Athena. That child is your mother." He said answering the vampire king.

"She died after giving birth to my sister that's all I can seem to remember." The king commented.

"Yes she wasn't strong in health as Gaia did not take proper care of her nor did she guide her to control her power, therefore your mother was unable to birth a gifted child and survive. However the child was stronger especially after you turned her into a cold one."

"Gaia must have seen Didyme to be stronger." the two vampire rulers realized.

"Indeed and so she created the legend of the Wanderer. Wanting a warrior to fight her battles and do her job. Zeus destroyed her home-realm as punishment. When your sister died, I grieved  for her as I had seen her kindness and desire to help those in need when she was human. Athena took pity and instilled the knowledge of alchemy in your bloodline to hopefully allow another the ability to wield it for good use. resulting in us ending up here."

"Can you save her?" Bella asked. "Can you help my sister?"

"No. The infinity stones do require a sacrifice for their combined use. I can however keep her from dying." He answered with honesty before speaking some ancient greek words "But she must make the choice herself."

"Hello, phaist pest." The woman that had taken Leona away before appeared. 

"Gaia." Immediately Hephaistos summoned chains which bound Gaia so she could not move.

"Zeus wants a word." He spoke. The woman struggled but Hephaistos made the chains burn her lightly with each struggle. The two gods disappeared.

"Mia Stella!" Felix suddenly called out. Everyone turned to the blonde. She had fallen on her knees and struggled to get up. Felix joined her side and picked her up. As she looked at him he was shocked.

Instead of red eyes, green eyes stared back at him sluggishly as if exhausted. Then the eyes widened as if frightened. She weakly pushed against Felix. He let her step back, worried about the way she was acting.

"Leona? what's wrong?"

"Please don't hurt me like you did the others. Please let me go." She begged.

"She sacrificed most of her memories for the use of the stones and her vampirism to heal every wounded person in our army. The only one here she remembers is her sister and one of the twin's faces but not his name." Wanda explained having used her power to dig through the blonde's memories.

"Leo?" Bella called her sister's nickname, making Leona turn towards her before a spear went straight through her stomach.

"FOR THANOS! DIE YOU WENCH!" Proxima Midnight shouted as she had thrown her spear just before she turned to dust. Felix was at the blonde's side wanting to help her and keep her from further harm. He broke the spear down only leaving the part inside his mate per advice.  Those with healing knowledge rushed to help. Alec kept the blonde from feeling anything, while Strange opened a portal to move the blonde to the medical department of Shuri's labs where she had healed Bucky and Ross. There Carlisle, Strange and Shuri worked on saving Leona. 

As soon as he was sent away Alec had to use his gift on Felix instead. The big vampire was scared for only the second time since he was turned. Not for him, but for his mate. He had only just found her again, and now he might lose her permanently. 

The original six avengers watched the big vampire being sedated as they dealt with their wounds. "It is good to see her so cared for." Clint commented as they saw two wolves literally sit on Felix to make sure he would stay put while the male vampire Leona remembered used his mist to incapacitate the big vampire.

"It won't turn out to be as good if she can't remember them. I feel bad for that tall one. He is her soulmate. Her cloak was his and she had him drawn more often than the others." Natasha spoke.

Bruce sighed. "I wish we could help." The others all agreed.

Okay first things first, my sincerest apologies for being late with this update. I just wasn't happy with anything I wrote for a long while. 
Also this is not the ending chapter for the Alchemist Journey of Power. That will be chapter 44. though it is not the last part of Leona's travels.
