After I finished reading, I tried the hatch again. Nothing. perhaps... trying to turn the hatch into something else, didn't work. Breaking it in separate materials? didn't work. Thinking back, Salamon was a wizard, not an alchemist. It was pure luck he was able to make the circles to protect this place. He was able to use other magic.

"Perhaps..." I summoned Fenris. the giant wolf bowed his head lightly.

'Master.'

"I need you to guard this place while I'm gone. If anyone comes, tell me through our link." I ordered the wolf. He took his place outside near the door and sat down. Then I took the Space-stone, I should probably return it to Thor, and used a teleportation circle to go to the same wizard I had met, when helping the Asgardian gods.

Immediately upon arrival, I was attacked and thrown off my feet by the wizard. "Oh it's you." He said only somewhat surprised.

"Yeah sorry for intruding but I need help with something." I explained getting up.

"You want that hatch opened but can't do it with your magic." He knew why I'm here?

"Yes. I believe whatever is underneath that hatch,  might help winning the war that is to come. The war for the stones, including yours." I pointed to the green stone he had hanging around his neck. The wizard walked away but his cloak seemed to gesture for me to follow.

"I will teach you the basics of other magic. That way you can open the hatch yourself. The Ancient One, the previous guardian of this Time Stone had seen your arrival. Though..."

"What?" I questioned when he didn't finish.

"Nothing. Let us begin." It wasn't easy to learn different types of magic. I was already so used to alchemy, other magic seemed to just not work for me. It was actually a bit painful to use. I spend the nights for the next two months to practice everything dr Strange, as the wizard was called, taught me. During the day I trained with Bucky and I trained with Fenris and his sons Skoll and Hati. Not sleeping came in handy because I simply had no time for it.

The wolves, Bucky, T'challa and his family and even dr Strange got a place in my sketchbook. The other avengers I had met, were added as well.

Finally after two months I had been able to open the secret hatch. Using the unlocking spell I had been taught, I winced as my fingers seemed to get small shocks, but the hatch was unlocked. Pulling it open carefully, I was almost anxious to find out about the secrets inside.

The space under the house was deep enough to stand in. It was wider and longer than the house. I had to use some extra light though. Even with my enhanced senses, I couldn't see and the light coming from the house wasn't enough. "Leona? Are you in there?" Bucky's voice called out.

"Yeah come in. Mind the hole in te floor." I replied.

"What hol-? Oh you opened the hatch finally. Anything good in here?" He asked, poking his head through the hole.

"Can you light the lanterns and bring them down here? Even for me it is too dark to see in here." I heard an okay and someone moving around. After a few minutes two lanterns and a Bucky joined me in the basement. The light added was bright enough for both of us to see the room. The walls were littered with symbols in all kinds of combinations and the floor had a massive but incomplete circle. There was one stand with an old looking scroll on it. It looked really fragile.

Walking to the scroll, I unknowingly touched some symbol combo and the room lit up. as in candles all over the place began burning.

"Even better." I muttered before carefully opening the scroll. It was filled with the same combos I noticed and others I didn't see yet, and what they do. well, some. The scroll must really have been hand-written long ago, a lot of the text and the symbols were fading out.

"What's that?" Bucky asked. I showed him though he didn't really seem to understand it completely. "Then what is the big circle on the floor for?" He pointed.

"I think Salamon practiced alchemy down here. That he tried using combinations  of the symbols and what they should be doing in theory. I don't know some of these symbols yet but maybe I can figure things out, though I'll need some help." I answered while thinking.

"What kind of help?" His tone sounded wary.

"Well I need to write down every combination and try them all out to see what they do. Sometimes I'll need certain materials and other times I need a live person to act as material. and of course, the occasional bloodbag." I shrugged at the end.

"Won't that be dangerous?" He asked with uncertainty in his voice.

"Yes, but in case of injuries I can heal the person. Though I could use someone sturdier than others like someone with enhanced healing and durability?" I answerd with an innocent look.

"You mean me?" He asked pointing at himself.

"Only if you're willing? I'll understand if you're not." I didn't want to put too much pressure on him.

"Can this help us beat Thanos?" He was thinking about it.

"Possibly yes. I am not a hundred percent certain though." It could very well be simply changing a mug into a plate.

"I'm sorry but I think you're better off asking someone else. I am still rehabilitating from Hydra's influence." He declined. "I can help gather materials but I don't want to be a test-dummy."

"That's okay. I think I'll ask Loki then. I think he'll have an easier time grasping what I'm doing, as he knows his stuff about magic too." I assured the man it was okay.

"Master, someone is coming." I heard Fenris speak in my mind.

"Let's go up for now. someone is coming and I don't know if they should know about this basement for now." we went up and the candles stopped burning. I blew out the candles in the lanterns and we got outside. Steve was here, as was Natasha and Loki too.

"Hey guys." I hugged them both. Turning to Loki I grinned. "Just the person I was looking for." He was a bit apprehensive.

"Why is that?" He asked.

"I need your help expanding my gift. Follow me while they catch up." I showed him the basement. Explaining it all he agreed to help.  As did the other two arrivals. Let's hope we have enough time to figure out a plan.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I apologize, it has been a while since my last update but I was too busy to write anything. THough I managed a bit of an outline of where I want this story to go. This might end up helping me get back on track of regular updates.
Next chapter we're giong to see if Felix and the others will be finding out the truth of their involvement in the infinity war. of why they were really joining Thanos' side.
How do you think Leona will find out and react to them being around?
What kind of plan will she make to to try and keep the avengers safe?
Have a nice week!!
