Back on earth...

Leona was pacing. It had been a few days since Loki's disappearance. The army had been gathering in Wakanda, as Strange had found out the war would begin sooner than thought. The avengers were gathered as acting leaders for the army. They found out Loki had disappeared with the tesseract and most were sure he went and gave it up to Thanos. Thor and Leona were about the only ones to defend the god of mischief.

"How can you defend him like that? Don't you remember what happened in New York? He isn't trustworthy." Tony exclaimed.

"If we think like that, why do you trust me? I annihilated Rumlow's squad, killed several other humans just to proof I am on the 'correct' side, tried to kill some of you out of hunger, and am helping the killer of your parents to heal." Leona argued.

"I am certain you have killed too Tony, we all have. Loki has tried his best to protect his people even though they aren't truly his considering he is adopted because he finally realized he does have people who care. Who see him for who he really is." she added slightly annoyed.

"Still. Surely you see. He is the god of mischief. That means trouble wherever he goes." Tony argued.

"I don't have time for this. Thanos is getting closer, whether he has the Space Stone or not, and I am still working on a plan to further assure our victory. Goodbye." Leona turned to leave the room.

"Leona, I'm not done talking." She whipped around with a growl startling Tony. Not saying anything she walked away, remembering the last time she silenced someone this exact same way.

"She does have a point, we don't have time." Was all she heard before being out of earshot.

"Leona wait." Wanda caught up to her with Pietro just after Leona left the city. They were curious about Leona defending someone like Loki and the two of them despite what each of them had done. A bright light appeared, making Leona subconsciously pull the twins somewhat behind her. Once the light was gone, they saw Loki! He looked hurt as he fell over and didn't get back up.

"Pietro, warn Thor. Wanda come help me." We split up and I took Wanda to Loki. Immediately as she did her thing, Pietro arrived just as Thor did. After a while Loki gasped for air.

"Brother what happened, where were you?" Loki pointed to the bag.

Opening it Thor pulled the tesseract out, an envelope and a sweater. Both of the latter items were for Leona. Once I caught the smell of the sweater I realized what happened. "You went there, didn't you? Why?" Thor was confused.

"For you. You were so torn about whether you should go or not, knowing the dangers. I knew I would be able to find things out for you myself. Because it was too dangerous for you to go." Loki answered sitting up. I couldn't help but kiss his cheek and hug him.

"Thank you." Then a different smell hit. Blood. "You're wounded. Let me see." I used my gift to repair his wounds, while keeping my eyes on his to check if he was in any pain. He didn't seem to be.

"Thank you." He smiled once I was done.

"What happened out there? Obviously you found them but who?" I started rapidly firing questions wondering what he had been through.

"Let's find a more comfortable place to talk first." So we got up to go back to the palace as the others wanted to know what happened as well. But when Leona turned around, Fenris spoke to her.

Watch out, we are not alone.

What do you mean?

An intruder came with Loki. Could be a threat.

Take your pack and find the intruder. Don't kill them, just imprison them at the shack. Tell me when you have completed this order. Go.

Yes master.

The three wolves were summoned and left to find the intruder. While we went inside so Loki could tell us everything.

My sons and I found the scent the intruder left. But the trail led away from us. 'My sons, let's hunt and make our master proud.' They growled in reply and we began tracking the intruder's scent howling to announce the hunt. The scent was sweet and smelled like prey, that had died long ago. It was burning our noses. The sweetness was the same as our master's scent but the burning doesn't happen with her.

'The intruder is like master.' Skoll shared what we all thought.

'Agreed.' The trail led to some giant rocks when it got stronger. We were close. The intruder didn't get far.

'Split up and surround.' I ordered.

'Yes alpha.' Skoll went left while Hati climbed and I went right. We saw our target. It is male. Not very big. Taller than master but it doesn't seem stronger. It has eyes like master's too. And its head-fur is a little darker than master's. Not as dark as Hela's.

we jumped the prey and removed its legs. Then I carried it to master's nest and put it down. My sons dropped the legs just out of reach. The prey was loud so we pushed its face in the ground.

master we found the intruder as ordered. she replied that she was coming soon. It was indeed not long before master arrived.

"You did well. You may rest now. thank you." She dismissed us. none of us will admit to the slight tremble in our feet from excitement at our master's approval.

When Fenris and his sons disappeared, I looked at the intruder after making them sit up and reattach their legs. I was shocked not expecting the person in front of me.

"Hello Leona." he spoke. "It has been a while, hasn't it?"

Finally getting over my shock, I spoke. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Who do you think it is? Will their arrival cause problems? What did you think of Fenris' description of the hunt?
