Somewhere in the Volturi castle...

Felix had just finished packing and was about to collect his flight ticket from Mariella, yet another human secretary, when Marcus stopped him. "Felix, here. This is all the important information we have on the legend that is Leona. May it proof useful to you."

"Thank you master." Felix replied putting the journal in his bag. Then he picked the flight ticket up only to be surprised.

"Three tickets? I only need one." He asked the youg woman who shrugged, and opened her mouth to answer but...

"You don't think you are on your own for this mission, do you?" A certain young female interrupted from his left side.

"We're coming with you to help gather information and get Leona home. You might scare your victims too much to give it, while our childlike features are just too adorable to not comply." Alec added from Felix' other side in a dramatic manner. Something he had picked up from spending time with Leona.

"Why?" While he knew the twins felt close to his mate, he hadn't expected them to be joining him in bringing her back.

"She means a lot to us as well, not seeing us as evil witch twins. She treated us as normal teens and stood up for us, if the lower guard was being mean again. That and the fact that she brought out your lighter side. We miss that side." Jane answered.

"Did master Aro approve?" He asked as the twins were the kings favorite guards.

"Master Aro ordered the extra tickets. He wants his niece back just as bad." They replied together after a short laugh.

"Thank you. I could indeed use the extra help." So the three left for the plane. Only to be pleasantly surprised once more.

"Finally, you guys are here. We thought we would have to drag you asses over." Demetri greeted them annoyed. Heidi smacked his arm lightly.

"You're helping too?" Felix asked though he wasn't really surprised.

"Of course, you're my best friend in this clan. She is a good friend too, if I can help bring her home, I will do anything. You would do the same for me, no?" Demetri asked.

"Leona's sassy and fearless way of dealing with what life would throw at her, made me like her as a human, her way of bringing light in the castle and the city even as a vampire made me want to go through hell for her, if that meant she was finally allowed some peace and happiness." Heidi added.

"Thank you all. Let's do this." And the high guard of Volterra got on the plane, not knowing what their mission would have in store for them.

The flight wasn't long and soon the five guards were in Athens, Greece. Having rented an apartment there to operate from, courtesy of Caius, the five put their bags in their rooms and gathered.

"Right. Where do we begin?" Heidi asked.

"I was given a journal with the important information about Leona's heritage as the Wanderer and Gaia. I only begun reading it and first it is about that so-called goddess Gaia. Apparently she is linked to three temples of her own, of which one is here in Athens." Felix explained his four companions.

"Then let's hunt real quick and then go check it out, but also keep an eye out for other mentions of Gaia and the legend of the Wanderer, like altars or statues in other temples. Felix keep checking out that journal for more clues." Jane ordered taking the role as leader of the little group, as usual when they were out.

The group hunted and then gathered just before noon, near the center of the city. Demetri was excited. "I found out there is a tour specifically about Gaia and the first gods. It passes all her particular altars, statues, images etc. The tour guide might know of the Wanderer's legend." he showed them a pamphlet. The tour just finished an hour earlier and the next one would be...next week. That dampened their rising excitement at this quick progress.

"Can't we just go find the guide? Perhaps we can persuade them to give us a private tour?" Alec suggested.

"We could. Demetri, Heidi, why don't you two go do that? Write down all you can learn and please keep the human alive. I have a different place I want to check out." Felix replied.

"We'll come with you, Felix." Jane and Alec said.

"Good. I have a feeling I could need your talents." He agreed. So the group split up again.

Demetri and Heidi went to where Demetri found the pamphlet and from there tracked the tourguide with Demetri's special skills. It took them a bit more time than expected due to the sun being out. Late in the afternoon, they found a man, in his late-forties. His short curly hair was starting to turn grey and his face showed signs of aging with just a few wrinkles in his forehead.

His dark eyes suddenly turned to the two vampires watching him from the shadows and they widened in recognition. Not knowing what the two wanted him for, but having a feeling it wasn't his blood, he nudged his head to a different area. A house to be exact. Once they were in there, the man turned to them again.

"We've been expecting you. vrykolakas." The man spoke and both vampires were knocked out cold. The last thing the couple heard was, "The mistress shall be pleased."

Somewhere different in the city...

Felix and the twins were at a temple. It was crowded with tourists but Felix towering over most people, was helpful. He led the twins to a particular area which held an altar dedicated to Gaia.

"Why this particular altar?" Jane asked.

"It tells of Gaia's interactions with humans around the time Didyme got her gift. Perhaps it has a lead." He explained. The three looked at every bit of text on the signs surrounding the altar. Doing this separately allowed strangers to blindfold Jane and knock her out, tie up alec so he couldn't move, and Felix once he noticed what was going on, got knoced out. He only saw a woman dressed in a white dress. Then it was dark.

It took me a bit to be satisfied with this chapter as it was a different point of view thanWhat did you think of learning what Felix is up to?

Who is the mistress mentioned? What does she want with the five vampires?

Thoughts on this chapter and the story, and theories are always welcome.

Have a nice week!!
